If SingleFileZ saves an Indian news article without some images, first check whether those images appeared in the original browser tab. Scroll to the affected sections, then retry with deferred-content saving enabled. If that does not work, test simulated scrolling; use the Referer option only when cross-origin image requests appear blocked. There is no established single cause shared by Indian news sites, so the right fix depends on what the page and capture are doing.
First, check whether the image loaded in the page
Open the article in its original tab and look at the sections whose images are missing from the saved file. Some pages reveal images or other content as you scroll. Scroll through the relevant sections and confirm that each image actually appears in the page before capturing it.
This is a diagnostic, not a universal waiting-time rule: the documentation does not prescribe how long to wait. If an image never appears in the original page, saving settings alone may not be enough to capture it.

SingleFileZ’s FAQ warns that disabling deferred-image saving can leave resources out of the saved page. In current SingleFile help, the related option is described as “save content loaded while scrolling.” Check the equivalent image or deferred-content setting in your installed extension and make sure it is enabled. Saving deferred content may take longer and is best effort, not a guarantee for every site.

SingleFileZ’s project repository says it was merged into SingleFile. As a result, current users should consult SingleFile’s options and file-format guidance rather than assuming older SingleFileZ labels still match their browser extension. See the SingleFileZ repository and the SingleFileZ FAQ.
Try simulated scrolling for scroll-triggered images
If the images appear only after scrolling, enable simulated scrolling in the extension’s relevant options and retry. SingleFile’s help describes this as dispatching scroll events while it waits, which may prompt a page to load deferred content. It is a targeted test rather than a general fix; simulated scrolling can also move the page unexpectedly. Turn it off again if it does not help.

Use the Referer option only for blocked cross-origin images
A different failure pattern is an image request blocked by hotlink protection. If the capture reports a cross-origin request error or the evidence points to a resource being blocked this way, enable the option to pass a Referer header after a cross-origin request error, then retry. The help recommends leaving this option unchecked in ordinary cases; restore the default if it makes no difference.

Diagnose extension or browser conflicts
If the settings above do not resolve the issue, use the project’s troubleshooting sequence. Try saving in an incognito window first. If that fails, reset the extension’s options, restart the browser, and then disable other extensions to check for conflicts.

- If the problem continues, disable other extensions and test again to identify a conflict.

Know which missing visuals may not be fixable with image settings
Not every missing visual is an ordinary image file that the extension can fetch. SingleFile’s known issues explain that browser security restrictions can prevent saving representations of canvas images and video snapshots. If the missing item is a canvas-rendered image or a video snapshot, changing deferred-image or Referer settings may not solve it.
Why the problem is not specific to all Indian news sites
The available official project guidance describes general behaviors—deferred content, simulated scrolling, hotlink protection, and browser restrictions. It does not establish that Indian publishers share a particular image-delivery method, identify a specific publisher with a verified issue, or document a test on a named news article. Treat lazy loading and hotlink protection as possibilities to check on the page you are saving, not as facts about Indian news sites as a group.
