Independent walkthroughs report that Silent Hill: Townfall has 15 Strange Postcards, and finding the full set unlocks the “Blur Your Eyes” achievement. The route covers Parts 1–4 and 6; there are no reported postcards in Part 5. Collect them while playing as Simon, and check your Documents inventory against the numbered list below to identify gaps.
The locations and access details below are reported by walkthroughs rather than official game documentation. PowerPyx, Townfall Guide and NerdsChalk broadly agree on the count and route.

All 15 Strange Postcard locations
Follow the locations in story order. Check the Documents inventory for recorded cards before revisiting areas. Some pickups have access requirements or depend on reaching a particular section of the route.
Part 1: Shorefront District South, St. Amelia Park and Farrow Street
- Shorefront District South, Chapter 3: Enter VIDEO STAR, west of Town Square. The postcard is on the counter.
- St. Amelia Park: Enter from the south and turn left into the alley behind building 3. Look beside the dumpster.
- Farrow Street: At the western dead end, check the wall.
- Apartment south of building 14: Go upstairs into apartment 1/2. Search the child’s bedroom near the bed.
Part 2: The Wynds and Medical Centre apartments
- The Wynds: Check the bottom of the alley stairs.
- Medical Centre apartments: Search the shed in the back garden.
Part 3: Altered Medical Centre
- X-Ray room: The walkthroughs report the room code as 7103. After entering, check the counter.
- Ward W, Room 06: Enter using the reported Master Key access and check the table.
- P Area, Room 08: Check the wall-mounted medical cabinet.
Part 4: Clara Woods, Overpass and Upper Brae
- Clara Woods, road fork: Continue beyond the corpse-lined road and take the right branch. Search the shed.
- Clara Woods Estate: Search the dresser in an upstairs bedroom.
- Opposite Atlas Computers: Check the table behind the shop’s display glass.
- Overpass: At the dead end, look beside the metal cart.
- 5 Upper Brae: The reported route requires the Tape: Tomorrow state to reach the shed; the guide also notes a Back Door Key. Check the shed table.
Part 6: CEG HQ
- Altered CEG HQ pipe route: In the later pipe sequence, turn right at the first branch, then left at the four-way junction. Check the dead end.
How to unlock Blur Your Eyes
Find all 15 Strange Postcards. PowerPyx’s collectible guide describes the achievement requirement as collecting the complete set; the trophy guide and roadmap covers the achievement context. The walkthroughs report that postcards are collected while playing as Simon, even if a part’s title refers to another character.
#1 Best Overall
- Day One Edition Bonus: CRTV Style: Rusted, CRTV Style: Beach Edition
- Returning to an island town to ‘put things right’, Simon Ordell descends into a world of tense evasion, explosive confrontations, and mind-bending puzzles that slowly surface the truth of St. Amelia
- Simon Ordell is called back to the island of St. Amelia to ‘put things right’, encountering a town lying quiet beneath a heavy fog, seemingly abandoned but not at rest
- Venturing deeper, and driven to understand his connection to the place and its inhabitants, Simon begins to discover fragments of a past rising to the surface
- Experienced entirely in first person, Simon must explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools, including the CRTV, a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense; combat is frenetic, while narrative driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged
Can you miss a postcard permanently?
The guides treat individual postcards as missable during a route, but report that collection progress carries between playthroughs. PowerPyx says the cards remain in the Documents inventory when starting a new playthrough, and Townfall Guide also reports New Game Plus carryover. If a card was skipped, compare the inventory with the route and continue collecting on a later run rather than assuming the achievement is permanently out of reach.
Do Strange Postcards affect the ending?
PowerPyx describes the cards as hints toward the Sci-fi ending, but says the full set is not required to trigger it. Townfall Guide separately notes that their symbols are relevant to a New Game Plus hotel-door puzzle. These are distinct uses: the complete set unlocks Blur Your Eyes, while the guides do not identify collecting all 15 as an ending requirement.
Rank #2
- Day One Edition Bonus: CRTV Style: Rusted, CRTV Style: Beach Edition
- When Simon Ordell is called back to the island of St. Amelia to "put things in order", he meets a city lying quietly in dense fog, seemingly abandoned, yet anything but dormant
- After venturing further to understand his connection to this place and its inhabitants, he gradually discovers fragments of the past rising to the surface
- Simon must explore, evade and survive from a first-person perspective. It uses a limited arsenal of weapons and tools, including the CRTV: a portable TV to receive unstable signals
- The dodging is tension, the battles are hectic and the story-based puzzles reveal a truth that does not want to remain hidden
What the walkthroughs establish
The three independent guides agree on a 15-card total, the broad route and the achievement’s collectible requirement. Their specific location and access cues are guide-reported; no official Konami or platform-holder confirmation of the count, route or carryover behavior was located. Treat the room code, key and item-state details as walkthrough directions rather than official documentation.
