Screenshotlayer’s published plans range from a free tier with 100 requests per month to Enterprise at $149.99 per month for 75,000 requests. Paid plans charge close to $0.008 for each request above quota, so 10,000 excess calls add about $80 to the bill. The important caveat: current billing guidance describes overage charges, but the service’s terms—last modified in 2018—say calls stop at the limit. If your application relies on requests continuing after quota, confirm the terms that apply to your account.
Screenshotlayer plans and published prices
The prices and quotas below are those displayed on APILayer and Screenshotlayer’s official pricing and billing pages on October 3, 2026. The pages do not give a publication date for these figures, so check the live plan selector before purchasing; prices and plan details can change.
| Plan | Requests per month | Monthly billing | Displayed annual price | Displayed annual discount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 100 | $0.00 | $0.00 | — |
| Basic | 10,000 | $19.99/month | $215.99/year | 10% |
| Professional | 30,000 | $59.99/month | $629.99/year | 12.5% |
| Enterprise | 75,000 | $149.99/month | $1,529.99/year | 15% |
The signup selector also shows undiscounted 12-month totals of $239.99 for Basic, $719.99 for Professional, and $1,799.99 for Enterprise. The displayed annual prices are lower than those totals; verify the amount and billing terms presented at checkout.
What happens when you exceed the monthly request limit?
Screenshotlayer’s current overage documentation lists per-request charges for paid plans. Using those published rates, the cost of 10,000 extra calls is:
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| Plan | Published overage rate | Cost for 10,000 extra calls |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $0.007996 per request | $79.96 |
| Professional | $0.0079986667 per request | $79.99 |
| Enterprise | $0.0079994667 per request | $79.99 |
Overage is added to the subscription charge. For example, Basic with 10,000 excess requests would total $99.95 for the month: the $19.99 subscription plus $79.96 in overage. That total is arithmetic based on the published rate, not a separately quoted vendor price. The listed rates are all close to $0.008 per excess request, which makes thousands of extra calls significant.
The vendor says it sends email and dashboard notifications when usage reaches 75%, 90%, and 100% of the monthly allowance. Those alerts do not replace monitoring: Screenshotlayer says customers remain responsible for tracking their usage. Its billing documentation says the subscription and overage are billed after the billing period.

There is a conflict between billing guidance and older terms
The current overage page describes charges for requests above quota, while the terms page says that once the monthly limit is exceeded, further calls return an error and cannot be made during that monthly term. That terms page was last modified February 17, 2018. Because the two official statements differ, do not assume over-quota requests will always be served simply because an overage rate is published. If uninterrupted capture beyond quota matters to your service, ask Screenshotlayer which terms and behavior govern your account, and design your application to handle rejected requests.
How to choose a plan based on usage and concurrency
Choose from expected total cost and operational needs, not the headline quota alone. Estimate monthly calls, calculate likely overage against the next tier, then check concurrency and required features in the current plan table.

- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- Estimate requests: forecast normal monthly traffic and likely peaks. Include retries or repeated captures only if your implementation will actually make them.
- Compare total bills: for each suitable paid tier, add the subscription price to projected overage. Compare that sum with the next tier’s subscription, rather than assuming an upgrade always costs less.
- Check concurrency: Screenshotlayer defines a dedicated worker as a server entity assigned to capture one screenshot; it says 10 workers allow 10 concurrent snapshots. The published plans list 10 workers on Basic, 20 on Professional, and 40 on Enterprise. A larger monthly allowance does not by itself explain how your workload will queue, so consider simultaneous requests as well as monthly volume.
- Verify feature fit: paid plans advertise features such as commercial use, HTTPS encryption, Retina/2x, WebP, and FTP/S3 export. Confirm exact availability in the live plan table before committing.
- Set an overage policy: monitor the dashboard, route usage alerts to someone who can act, and decide whether your application should pause captures, queue them, or surface a graceful failure when a request is rejected or quota behavior is uncertain.
If your actual usage regularly exceeds a tier, Screenshotlayer advises reviewing an upgrade. Whether that saves money depends on your request volume and plan; calculate both totals for your own traffic.
