Why automatic zoom could help—and what is not proven
Moron says the extension grew out of the work involved in recording a screen, opening an editor, locating important clicks, adding zooms, adjusting framing, and exporting. He found that process excessive for a short explanation and wanted the recording to zoom toward what he clicked.
That explains the problem the extension is meant to address, but it is not a measured time-saving result. The article supplies no timed test or comparison showing how much editing is avoided, how accurately the framing follows clicks, or how the finished video compares with a manually edited one. Whether it saves time depends on the recording and the adjustments you would otherwise make.

How it relates to other recording tools
Moron says he tried several tools, including Loom, but did not find the exact click-driven workflow he wanted. That is his account of the motivation for building this extension, not a feature-by-feature comparison or evidence that Screen Mouse Recorder is better than Loom or another recorder.
