ScrapingBee’s advertised self-serve plans currently run from $19 to $599 per month, excluding VAT. The $19 Hobby plan includes 75,000 credits and 25 concurrent requests; Business+ costs $599 for 8 million credits and 400 concurrent requests. ScrapingBee also advertises 1,000 free credits without a credit card. Those credits are not page requests: depending on proxy and rendering settings, one HTML request costs from 1 to 75 credits. JavaScript rendering is enabled by default, making the default HTML request cost 5 credits.
This guide uses the current pricing page observed on September 29, 2026, explains the conflicting older help-center table, shows how to estimate your real request capacity, and compares alternatives without calling any provider universally cheaper.
ScrapingBee plans and prices in 2026
The live ScrapingBee pricing page is the best reference for current advertised self-serve figures. Prices below are monthly and exclusive of VAT.
| Plan | Monthly price | Monthly credits | Concurrent requests |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hobby | $19 | 75,000 | 25 |
| Freelance | $49 | 250,000 | 50 |
| Startup | $99 | 1,000,000 | 100 |
| Business | $249 | 3,000,000 | 200 |
| Business+ | $599 | 8,000,000 | 400 |
ScrapingBee advertises 1,000 free API credits with no card required. The pricing page does not describe those credits as a recurring paid-plan allowance, so treat them as a trial allocation and confirm the current terms when you create an account.

Why an older ScrapingBee table does not match
The help-center article “Available plans explained”, updated October 17, 2025, shows Freelance at $49.99 with 250,000 credits and 10 concurrent requests, Startup at $99.99 with 1 million credits and 50 concurrent requests, Business at $249.99 with 3 million credits and 100 concurrent requests, and Business+ at $599.99 with 8 million credits and 200 concurrent requests. It also lists Enterprise tiers of $999.99 for 14 million credits, $1,599.99 for 24 million, and $2,399.99 for 41 million, with custom plans available for discussion.
Those figures conflict with the newer pricing page on plan lineup, cents-level prices and concurrency. Do not merge the tables or use the older Enterprise numbers as current quotes. Use the live pricing page for a self-serve purchase, and ask ScrapingBee for a written quote if you need an enterprise or custom commitment.
What does one ScrapingBee credit get you?
A credit pays for a specific API configuration, not a complete page request. ScrapingBee’s credit-system documentation lists these HTML API costs:
| Configuration | Credits per request |
|---|---|
| Classic proxy, no JavaScript rendering | 1 |
| Classic proxy with JavaScript rendering | 5 |
| Premium proxy, no JavaScript rendering | 10 |
| Premium proxy with JavaScript rendering | 25 |
| Stealth proxy | 75 |
| AI query add-on | 5 additional |
Dedicated Google, Walmart and Amazon APIs use their own schedules. The same article lists Google and Walmart light requests at 10 credits, normal requests at 15, Amazon light requests at 5 and normal requests at 15.

JavaScript is the important default
ScrapingBee’s public HTML API documentation says JavaScript rendering is enabled by default. Unless you turn it off, a standard HTML request costs 5 credits rather than 1. Rendering is appropriate when content is created in the browser, but it can consume your allowance five times faster than classic proxy mode.

Auto-Mode and max_cost
Auto-Mode tries configurations from cheaper to more expensive and charges for the configuration that succeeds. If every configuration fails, the request costs zero credits. The max_cost parameter limits how far Auto-Mode may escalate. Set that ceiling when an expensive stealth or premium attempt would exceed your budget or latency target.
How many requests do you get with ScrapingBee?
Divide the plan’s credits by the cost of the configuration you actually use. For the current Hobby allowance, the arithmetic is:
| Hobby example | Calculation | Requests before other endpoint costs |
|---|---|---|
| Classic, no JavaScript | 75,000 ÷ 1 | 75,000 |
| Default rendered HTML | 75,000 ÷ 5 | 15,000 |
| Stealth proxy | 75,000 ÷ 75 | 1,000 |
These are planning calculations from the published allowance and credit schedule, not a performance guarantee. Premium, stealth, AI and dedicated-search requests can change the result, as can retries that produce billable responses.

Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →A representative workload calculation
Suppose a monitor fetches 12,000 product pages each month and needs browser-rendered HTML. At 5 credits per request, it requires 60,000 credits (12,000 × 5), before any AI query or endpoint-specific charge. That fits the 75,000-credit Hobby allowance, leaving 15,000 credits for additional calls. If the same monitor needs stealth proxy mode at 75 credits, it would require 900,000 credits and would not fit Hobby; Startup’s advertised 1 million credits would cover the arithmetic with little headroom for retries or other endpoints.
Concurrency is a separate limit
Credits determine how much work a plan can pay for; concurrency determines how many requests can run at once. A workload can have enough credits but still take longer because it reaches the plan’s concurrent-request ceiling. Compare the expected parallelism with 25, 50, 100, 200 or 400 concurrent requests rather than choosing solely by monthly credits.

Billing, failed calls and expiring credits
ScrapingBee’s FAQ says it charges only for successful calls and identifies HTTP statuses 200, 404 and 410 as billable. Its FAQ also describes a default request as 5 credits because JavaScript rendering is on by default, and says subscriptions can be cancelled at any time.
The help center says ScrapingBee does not currently offer usage-based pricing. You can buy one-time top-up credits on an existing subscription, but those top-up credits expire when the subscription renews or expires. The FAQ describes upgrading for the current month or renewing early when credits run out. Check the checkout terms before relying on either policy because billing rules can change.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe real-time usage endpoint in the documentation can be called no more than six times per minute. Polling more frequently is unnecessary and may produce rate-limit errors; cache the last usage response in your own dashboard.
How to choose a ScrapingBee plan
- Classify every request. Record whether it uses classic, premium or stealth proxy, JavaScript rendering, a dedicated API or an AI query.
- Calculate credits. Multiply monthly calls by the documented cost for each class, then add a reserve for retries and seasonal peaks.
- Check concurrency. Compare your desired worker count with the plan’s concurrent-request limit.
- Account for VAT. The advertised prices exclude VAT, so your invoice may be higher depending on billing location.
- Validate a sample. Run the same target domains and settings you will use in production; a headline credit total cannot predict site-specific success or latency.
- Decide how to handle exhaustion. ScrapingBee describes upgrades for the current month and early renewal, while top-up credits have an expiry condition. Document the fallback before your allowance reaches zero.
Is ScrapingBee cheaper than Zyte?
There is no universal answer because the products price different dimensions. ScrapingBee sells fixed monthly credit bundles. Zyte advertises pay-as-you-go pricing from $0.13 to $1.27 per 1,000 HTTP requests and $1.01 to $16.08 per 1,000 browser-rendered requests, with the range determined by target-site tier. Its commitment options begin at $100 per month and can reduce the per-request range at higher commitments. Zyte’s pricing documentation explains that tiers are assigned by website and request type.
Zyte’s migration guide says its model may be cheaper for some usage mixes. That is a conditional vendor comparison, not a general result. Put the same domains, browser-rendering requirement, geography, concurrency and success definition into both providers’ estimators before switching.

Bright Data Web Scraper API
The Bright Data pricing page advertises 5,000 free monthly credits. The available published information does not establish a paid-plan price or prove that Bright Data is cheaper at a particular volume. Check the live product pricing for your targets and rendering settings.
ScraperAPI
ScraperAPI’s plan documentation describes a free plan with 1,000 credits per month and up to five concurrent connections. Its credit-cost documentation warns that protected domains and anti-bot bypass can increase credit use. Current paid prices and allowances are not established here, so compare its live quote with your actual target mix.
Compare on effective cost, not the sticker price
- Fixed monthly commitment versus pay-as-you-go billing.
- Successful requests per dollar after rendering, proxy and anti-bot multipliers.
- Concurrency and rate limits at your required worker count.
- Whether unsuccessful responses consume credits and which statuses count as successful.
- VAT treatment and whether unused or top-up credits expire.
- Target-site coverage, geography and browser-rendering behavior.
A different need: ScreenshotNeo for clean website screenshots
If your deliverable is a visual capture rather than scraped HTML or structured data, ScreenshotNeo is the first alternative to try. It is a website screenshot API and MCP server, not a replacement for a data-extraction proxy. Before capture it accepts cookie and consent banners and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups and chat widgets. Bot checks, CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads and cache hits are not billed, and each response reports the result through X-Page-Verdict and X-Billed headers.
Its API supports PNG, JPEG, WebP and PDF output, full-page lazy-image loading, CSS-selector element capture, dark mode, device presets, retina scale, custom CSS and JavaScript, clicks, selector or network-idle waits, request blocking, custom headers and cookies, user agents, authorization, timezone, geolocation, transparent backgrounds, resizing, configurable caching TTLs, signed public-image links, asynchronous jobs with signed webhooks, bulk capture of up to 100 URLs per call, usage reporting and an OpenAPI specification. An MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info and capture_pdf tools for Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients.
A one-call example is:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for all options. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots, and every feature is available on every plan. Create a free ScreenshotNeo account to try it.
Troubleshooting common ScrapingBee cost and limit problems
Credits disappear faster than page count
Check whether JavaScript rendering is still enabled, whether Auto-Mode escalated to premium or stealth proxy, and whether an AI query or dedicated API has its own charge. Recalculate by configuration instead of dividing credits by total URLs.

Requests are queued or throttled
Compare active workers with your plan’s concurrency limit. Reduce parallelism, batch work over a longer window or move to a plan with a higher advertised limit. Do not assume more credits increase concurrency.
The usage figure looks stale
Respect the documentation’s six-calls-per-minute limit for the real-time usage endpoint. Poll less often and store the last successful response locally.
A top-up did not last through renewal
The help center says one-time top-up credits expire when the subscription renews or expires. Treat them as short-term capacity, and confirm the current renewal date and expiry language in your account before purchasing.
