To save an Indian government exam result page as a PDF in desktop Chrome, open the result, press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or ⌘+P on Mac, choose Save as PDF as the destination, check the preview, and save. This creates a printable PDF rendition; Chrome’s separate Save page as command saves the webpage itself in a different format.
Save the result page as a PDF in Chrome
- Open the official result page in desktop Chrome. If the result requires a login or candidate information, complete the exam authority’s steps first. The fields and process vary by portal.
- Open Chrome’s print dialog by pressing Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or ⌘+P on Mac. You can also open Chrome’s menu and choose Print. Chrome Help describes the print workflow.
- In the print dialog, set the destination to Save as PDF.
- Check the preview. If text is clipped, too small, or split awkwardly across pages, adjust the print settings available in the dialog and review the preview again. The preview can help you catch layout problems, but it cannot guarantee that every dynamic exam-result page will print perfectly.
- Choose Save and select a location if Chrome asks where to put the file.
- Open the saved PDF and make sure the result details and any necessary context are legible.
Choose PDF or save the webpage itself
Use Print > Save as PDF when you need a portable document laid out for printing. Use Chrome’s More > More tools > Save page as when you want to save the webpage itself, rather than create a PDF rendition. Chrome Help explains how to save a page.

Find the PDF if it is not where you expected
Chrome can save downloads to a default folder or ask where to save each file. Check Chrome’s download list and its download-location setting if you cannot find the PDF. Chrome Help covers download and save-page settings.

Use it as a starting point, then follow the link to the relevant authority: the page design, access requirements, and available result information depend on that body and the exam year.

For example, a CBSE result page requests candidate-specific information and says online results are for immediate information, not original mark sheets. That statement applies to the cited CBSE page; check the current portal for the examination you took rather than assuming another authority uses the same disclaimer.
What a saved PDF does—and does not—establish
A PDF records the page content Chrome displayed when you printed it. By itself, it does not certify that the result is authentic or current, and it may not replace an official marksheet or other document. Follow the relevant examination authority’s instructions about what counts as an official record. Government website guidance includes a checkpoint that webpage content should print correctly on A4, but that is a website-design expectation—not a guarantee that a particular result page will fit neatly in Chrome’s preview. Troubleshoot common PDF problems
- The PDF is missing: Look in Chrome’s download list and the configured download folder. If Chrome is set to ask for a location, check the folder you selected when saving.
- Text or result details are cut off: Return to the print dialog, review the preview, and adjust the available print settings before saving again.
- The PDF is blank or incomplete: Confirm that the result has fully loaded and that any candidate-information step has completed, then reopen Print and inspect the preview. A page that changes dynamically may not render as expected.
- The result page asks for details: Use the official exam body’s required fields and instructions. There is no single set of fields shared by all Indian result portals.
- The PDF is being treated as an official marksheet: Check the exam authority’s own notice. The cited CBSE page, for instance, distinguishes its online result from an original marksheet; do not extend that exact disclaimer to other authorities without checking.
