To identify a Samsung watch, open Settings > About watch and note the model number. Depending on the watch, the page may be called About device or About band. If you cannot use the watch, check the paired Galaxy Wearable app, the small print on the watch’s underside, or its original box.
Find the model number in the watch’s settings

From the watch’s Home screen, open Settings.

Tap About watch. If that label is not available, look for About device or About band.

Read and record the model number shown on the information screen. Older Gear S2 and Gear Fit2 Pro devices may use Gear info > About device instead.

Menu names and screens vary by watch and software version, as Samsung notes in its watch identification instructions.

Use the paired phone or physical markings
Look in Galaxy Wearable
If the watch is paired with a phone, open Galaxy Wearable > Watch settings > About Watch. Samsung’s UK instructions say the model and serial numbers appear there; app labels can vary by region or change over time. See Samsung’s UK device-number instructions.
Check the underside of the watch
Turn the watch over and inspect the back casing for small printed text. Samsung says the model and serial numbers are printed on the underside. If the marking is difficult to read, use a bright light and record the characters carefully. See Samsung Canada’s guidance on watch model and serial numbers.

Check the original packaging
If the watch will not turn on or the underside marking is hard to read, check the original box for product identification information. Samsung includes packaging as another place to look in its UK instructions.
Look up the complete model code
Copy the full model code exactly as it appears on the watch, phone, or box. Enter it in Samsung’s Wearable Support search, which supports searches by model code or product name, to find information for that device.

Do not rely on a partial code or appearance alone to determine a watch’s size, market, generation, or Bluetooth/LTE configuration. Samsung’s support pages explain how to retrieve and search a model number, but do not provide a single decoder covering every model-code suffix and configuration. If the search result is unclear, ask Samsung Support to confirm the full code.
