To check history on a Samsung tablet, start with the app or account you used: Samsung Internet and Chrome each have a separate browsing history, Google Account activity is a separate record, and recently used apps appear in their own views. There is no single history screen that combines them.

How do I check browsing history in Samsung Internet?
- Open the Samsung Internet app.
- Find and open its History control among the browser’s navigation or bookmarks controls. Samsung describes this area as providing bookmarks, saved webpages, and recent browsing history.
- Select a page from the list to reopen it, if it is still present in the browser’s history.
The exact button placement can vary by tablet model and Samsung Internet release. If History is not immediately visible, inspect the browser’s bookmarks or navigation controls and check that the app is up to date. Activity done in Secret Mode is not recorded in Samsung Internet’s Browser History. Samsung’s official guide explains: “Similar to the Incognito Mode found in other browsers, searches and activity done while on Secret Mode, will not be recorded on Browser History.”
How do I check Chrome history on a Samsung tablet?
- Open Chrome.
- Open Chrome’s menu and choose History.
- Review the pages listed in Chrome’s history.
Chrome’s list is separate from Samsung Internet’s. A page viewed in one browser will not automatically appear in the other browser’s history.
Where do I find Google search and account activity?
- On the tablet, open Settings > Google.
- Tap Manage your Google Account, then open Data & privacy.
- Under History settings, choose Web & App Activity.
- Review eligible activity through My Activity.
Google Account activity is controlled by the settings for the account you are viewing. Google says Chrome browsing history is included in account activity only when the relevant Web & App Activity and Chrome inclusion options are enabled, and Chrome history is syncing while you are signed in to Chrome. On shared tablets or devices with multiple Google Accounts, check which account is selected: activity may be associated with the browser or device’s default account. How can I see recently used or most-used apps?
See recently opened apps
Open the tablet’s Recents view to see recently used apps. The gesture or button for Recents depends on the tablet’s navigation settings. This view concerns app use; it is not a website-history list.
Sort installed apps by usage
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Tap your profile icon, then choose Manage apps & device.
- Open Manage.
- Use the sort control to choose Most used or Least used.
This sort helps identify relative app usage. It does not provide a timestamped record of every time an app was opened or every action taken inside it.

How do I delete browsing history instead of viewing it?
Samsung Internet
- Open Samsung Browser and tap More options (the three vertical dots).
- Choose Settings > Personal browsing data > Delete browsing data.
- Select Browsing history and any other categories you intend to remove.
- Tap Delete data and confirm.
These are Samsung’s current US support labels; wording and placement can differ across software versions and regions. Samsung’s Philippines support page, last updated January 17, 2023, describes an earlier route through Menu > Settings > Privacy > Clear/Delete browsing data and includes a time-range option: Samsung Philippines instructions. Removing cookies or site data may sign you out of websites.
Chrome
To clear Chrome data, Samsung documents this route: Chrome > three-dot menu > Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data. Select the data type and time range you want, then confirm. This is a deletion screen, not the way to inspect the history list. Samsung’s Chrome instructions
