Samsung has reportedly started mass production of its Exynos 2700 processor for the Galaxy S27 lineup, but Samsung has not confirmed the production start or the chip’s model assignments. The claim comes from The Elec’s October 2, 2026 report, which cites unnamed industry sources.
What The Elec reported about Exynos 2700 production
The Elec says Samsung began full-scale front-end foundry production of the Exynos 2700 after determining the volume needed for several Galaxy S27 models. Its account is based on unnamed industry sources, not a Samsung announcement. Read The Elec’s report.
The Elec also reports that planned production volume is “more than 10% higher” than for the Exynos 2600. That comparison is an industry-source claim reported by the publication; Samsung has not published that forecast in the cited materials.
Which Galaxy S27 models are reportedly getting Exynos?
According to The Elec, the Exynos 2700 is intended for the Galaxy S27 base, Plus, and Pro models. The report says Samsung had not yet decided whether the Ultra would use the chip.

These are reported allocations, not confirmed specifications. The available Samsung materials do not independently verify which S27 models will use Exynos 2700.
What Samsung’s official materials confirm—and what they do not
Samsung’s first-quarter 2026 results describe improved System LSI earnings alongside expanded flagship SoC sales, and an outlook that includes securing flagship SoC design wins. Samsung Semiconductor says its SF2 process entered mass production in 2025 and is intended for applications including mobile, HPC, AI, and automotive. - Whether Samsung has begun Exynos 2700 production, as opposed to the start being reported by unnamed sources.
- Whether the base, Plus, and Pro models will use Exynos 2700, and whether the Ultra will use it.
- Whether planned Exynos 2700 production volume is more than 10% above Exynos 2600 volume.
- The Exynos 2700’s manufacturing node and any performance, efficiency, or availability details.
Until Samsung makes a specific announcement, treat the production start, model lineup, and volume comparison as The Elec’s reported claims rather than confirmed product facts.
