Samsung Wallet (still called Samsung Pay in some support-page titles) works with payment cards from participating U.S. issuers, but a bank’s participation does not mean every card it issues is eligible. Check Samsung’s current supported-banks list and confirm your exact card with its issuer before relying on it.
Which U.S. banks support Samsung Pay?
Examples of major U.S. supporters named by SamMobile in an article updated September 25, 2026 include:
- American Express
- Bank of America
- Capital One
- Chase
- Citibank
- Discover
- PNC
- U.S. Bank
- Wells Fargo
This is an illustrative list, not a complete or card-by-card eligibility directory. SamMobile reports more than 100 banks, credit unions, and card providers, and directs readers to Samsung’s official list for the full roster. Samsung’s own add-card guidance describes partnerships with major U.S. banks and card companies and specifically names American Express, Visa, and Mastercard; it does not enumerate every supported issuer on that page. SamMobile’s updated list and Samsung’s live supported-banks page are useful starting points.

Does Samsung Pay work with my bank and my specific card?
Issuer participation and card eligibility are separate checks. Samsung cautions that some cards from participating banks may not be supported in Samsung Wallet. Credit and debit products from the same bank can have different eligibility, so a bank name alone cannot confirm that your card will enroll.

Use Samsung’s supported-banks list to check whether the issuer participates, then ask the issuer whether your exact credit or debit card is eligible for Samsung Wallet. Samsung advises customers to contact their bank for card-specific eligibility and when an attempt to add a card fails. The issuer is the appropriate source for that approval; the public bank list should not be treated as a guarantee. Samsung Support: adding and using cards
Can I add a debit card?
Some debit cards may be eligible, subject to the issuer’s card-specific rules. ATM-only cards are not supported as payment cards. An issuer may also require additional authentication during setup. Check with your bank if you are unsure whether your debit card supports mobile-wallet payments or if enrollment requests verification.

Why won’t my bank card add to Samsung Pay?
Check these common requirements and restrictions before trying again:

- Card type: ATM-only cards cannot be enrolled as payment cards.
- Issuer verification: Complete any additional authentication requested by the bank. If verification does not arrive or fails, contact the issuer.
- Internet connection: Samsung requires an active internet connection to add a payment card.

How to check whether your card is supported
- Open Samsung’s supported-banks list and look for your issuer.
- Contact the issuer and ask whether your exact credit or debit card can be added to Samsung Wallet.
- On a compatible device and in a supported region, try adding the card in Samsung Wallet while connected to the internet.
- Complete any authentication requested by the issuer. If setup fails, ask the issuer to check the card’s eligibility and enrollment status.
