On October 6, 2026, Android Authority reported that Amazon had the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 for $1,749.99, calling it the phone’s best price since launch. That is a dated deal report—not confirmation that the price is still available today, October 7, or that it is the lowest price at every retailer. Check the Amazon listing and checkout total before buying.
What the reported Galaxy Z Fold8 deal actually means
The $1,749.99 figure is the Amazon price Android Authority reported on October 6. The report does not establish the exact storage configuration, seller, stock, taxes, or final checkout total. A separate 9to5Google deal report said the Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra had reached their lowest prices on Amazon to date during the fall Prime Day sale, but its surfaced result did not give the Fold8’s exact price.
Treat $1,749.99 as a useful benchmark, not a guaranteed offer. Sale prices can change, and the available listing may differ by storage, color, seller, or delivery date. Confirm the current price and terms on Amazon before placing an order.
Check these details before you buy
- Open the Amazon listing and confirm it is the Galaxy Z Fold8 configuration you want, including storage and color.
- Check whether the phone is unlocked and identify the seller shown on the listing.
- Review stock and delivery details, then compare the displayed price with the total at checkout, including applicable taxes.
- Compare that total with Samsung’s direct purchase offer. Samsung’s page surfaced a $200 Samsung Credit promotion with a purchase window ending October 7, 2026; check the official purchase page for current availability and restrictions. Credit is not the same as an unconditional cash discount.
Is the Fold8 the only Android foldable worth considering?
No. “The only Android foldable phone that matters” works as a headline hook, but it is not supported as a factual buying conclusion. Samsung identifies the Galaxy Z Fold8 as a foldable phone and offers a purchase route on its US product page. Google has also announced the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, a direct Android foldable alternative.

Google stated a US starting price of $1,899 for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold when it announced the Pixel 11 lineup on August 25, 2026. That is a launch price, not a confirmed current street price. It is not an apples-to-apples comparison with the reported Fold8 Amazon deal: the sources do not establish matching storage, current checkout prices, or equivalent promotions.
To choose between them, compare the specific configurations and live offers you can actually buy. Display dimensions, software features, camera needs, battery life, durability, and support terms also matter, but the available product and price information does not establish a reliable overall ranking on those points.
