The Galaxy S25 FE is the better value if you want a larger screen and a lower upfront price; the Galaxy S25 is the better fit if you want a smaller phone and its higher-resolution telephoto camera. Samsung US displayed $649.99 for an unlocked 128GB S25 FE and $799.99 for the S25 when its buy page was checked, a $150 difference—but the S25 price was not shown with a matching storage configuration, so this is not a like-for-like price comparison. Check the current price for the same storage and buying conditions before deciding.

How much cheaper is the S25 FE?
On the Samsung US buy page snapshot, the unlocked 128GB Galaxy S25 FE was displayed at $649.99, while the Galaxy S25 was displayed at $799.99. The arithmetic difference is $150, but the S25 listing did not specify a matching storage tier beside that price. Samsung also displayed the FE 256GB model at $749.99. These are US page prices, not a guaranteed sale price or a controlled same-storage comparison; promotions, stock, trade-ins, taxes and configuration can change the amount you actually pay.
For a fair comparison, check the same storage capacity, unlocked or carrier version, retailer, trade-in assumptions and included offers. If you need to buy a wall charger for the FE, include its cost in your total. Samsung’s evidence here does not establish the S25’s box contents, so verify that separately rather than assuming the other phone includes one.

Galaxy S25 FE: more room for viewing
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ display for the FE, with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel and refresh rates up to 120Hz in its 2025 announcement. Its larger screen is the clearest reason to favor this model if you prefer more display area for reading, video or general use. Samsung lists the FE at 190g.

Galaxy S25: the more compact option
The comparison guide lists the S25 with a 6.2-inch FHD+ display. Choose it if a smaller screen is a priority over the FE’s larger viewing area. Screen size alone does not establish which display looks better in everyday use.
Camera hardware: the S25 has a 10MP telephoto
Samsung lists the same headline resolutions for the ultrawide, main and selfie cameras on both phones: 12MP ultrawide, 50MP main and 12MP selfie. The telephoto is the listed difference: 8MP on the FE and 10MP on the S25. Samsung’s 2025 FE announcement also specifies 3x optical zoom for its telephoto and optical image stabilization for its 50MP main camera.

Those specifications describe hardware, not a camera-quality test. The megapixel difference alone does not prove that the S25 takes better photos, and the available information does not establish a comparative verdict on image quality.

Performance, support and what the specifications cannot tell you
Samsung identifies the FE’s processor as Exynos 2400 (4nm) and lists 8GB of memory. The cited information does not establish comparative real-world speed against the S25. It also does not provide an independent battery-life, gaming or long-term camera comparison, so those are not settled by the specifications above.

- Choose the S25 FE if you want the larger 6.7-inch screen and its current price works out lower for the storage and seller you need. Remember to factor in a charger if you need one.
- Choose the S25 if you prefer the 6.2-inch screen or specifically want the listed 10MP telephoto rather than the FE’s 8MP telephoto.
- Compare the checkout totals before buying if the apparent price gap is your main reason for choosing. Match storage, sales channel and offers; the cited Samsung US display does not prove a $150 same-storage saving.
Samsung announced US availability for the S25 FE beginning September 4, 2025, with a $649.99 starting price. That launch price and the specifications are manufacturer information, not independent market testing; availability and configurations can differ outside the US.
