There is no clear overall winner between the Samsung Galaxy Book6 and Dell XPS 14: the answer depends on the exact configuration, your display preference, and whether you use other Galaxy devices. For a lower-cost entry option with a matte screen and a broad selection of ports, consider the base Galaxy Book6. For Dell’s listed OLED touch-screen option, compare the XPS 14’s exact configuration and price. If you want a premium Samsung AMOLED screen, look at the Galaxy Book6 Pro rather than the base Book6.
First, identify which Galaxy Book6 you mean
Galaxy Book6 is a family, not a single configuration. The base Book6, Book6 Pro, and Book6 Ultra differ in display, weight, processor, memory, ports, and storage expansion. Dell’s XPS 14 also has configuration-dependent components. Compare the actual models available where you live rather than assuming the headline specifications apply to every laptop in either family.
Samsung announced a U.S. 14-inch entry Galaxy Book6 on August 31, 2026, with a starting price of $799.99. Samsung said Amazon availability would begin September 21 and Samsung.com availability October 6, 2026; check current stock and price before buying. This entry model’s announced options—Intel Core Series 3 (Core 3 or Core 5), 8GB or 16GB memory, and 256GB or 512GB storage—are distinct from specifications in Samsung’s broader Book6 lineup table. Samsung’s U.S. announcement identifies the entry model and its availability.

Samsung’s family-wide product page says Book6 storage can be selected up to 1TB on the described configuration and lists an expansion slot, but the slot details vary by model. Samsung also says memory cannot be upgraded after purchase. For the base 14-inch Book6, Samsung’s specifications describe a second SSD slot limited to 2230 drives; the 14-inch Pro has no second SSD slot, while the 16-inch Pro does. Confirm the exact SKU’s specification before relying on an expansion option. Samsung’s Book6 product and specification information.

Choose by screen, not just by brand
Choose the base Book6 if you want a matte IPS display
Samsung lists the base 14-inch Book6 with a 14-inch 1920 × 1200 IPS anti-glare panel rated at 350 nits. That is a practical fit if you prefer a non-touch, matte-style screen and want the base model’s listed ports. The later-announced U.S. entry configuration has different processor and memory options, so check the listing’s exact display specification rather than assuming the broader lineup table describes it.
Choose an XPS 14 configuration if you want Dell’s OLED touch option
Dell lists a 2.8K OLED touch display as an XPS 14 option alongside a 2K LCD non-touch display. The display choice is tied to the selected configuration; verify the panel, touch support, and current SKU price on Dell’s product page. Dell’s XPS 14 comparison lists these display options.

Choose the Book6 Pro for Samsung AMOLED
The Galaxy Book6 Pro is the relevant Samsung comparison if you specifically want a 14-inch touch AMOLED panel. It is a separate, premium model—not a display option on the base Book6. Samsung’s January 2026 table lists the Pro 14-inch at 1.23 kg with 16GB or 32GB memory and 512GB or 1TB SSD; availability and specifications can vary by market. Samsung’s launch specifications.

The $799.99 starting price applies to Samsung’s announced U.S. 14-inch entry Book6, not every Book6 model or market. For historical context, a TechRadar review published May 21, 2026, reported U.S. XPS 14 examples from $1,599.99, including a Core Ultra 5 325/16GB/512GB/2K LCD configuration and higher-priced Ultra X7/OLED variants. Samsung advertises up to 25 hours for the U.S. entry Book6 announced in August 2026. Dell advertises up to 31 hours of streaming for the XPS 14 on its 2026 U.S. comparison page. These are manufacturer claims for different configurations and test procedures, not a controlled comparison. Samsung’s broader Book6 page separately lists up to 24 hours of video playback; that figure belongs to the page’s described lineup and should not be combined with the entry model’s claim. Quick Recap
A practical decision checklist
- Pick the base Galaxy Book6 if the specific U.S. entry configuration is in stock at a price you prefer, and its screen, memory, and storage meet your needs.
- Pick an XPS 14 if its exact configuration offers the display or design you prefer and the price works for you; check the actual ports and components rather than relying on family-wide maximums.
- Compare the Book6 Pro instead if Samsung’s 14-inch AMOLED touch display is the reason you are considering the Book6 family.
- Favor ecosystem fit only if you use compatible Galaxy devices and expect to benefit from Samsung’s cross-device features.
