For US buyers comparing the current models covered here, the Galaxy A37 5G has the lowest cited launch price at $449.99, while the Pixel 10a is the smallest at 6.3 inches and has Google’s seven-year update commitment. The Galaxy A57 5G is the higher-tier Samsung option, with a 12MP ultrawide camera and Super AMOLED+ display. Prices and features differ by date, region, and exact model, so compare the live checkout price and your priorities—not the series names alone.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy A37 5G if its current price is lowest for you and you want a 6.7-inch display. Samsung’s cited $449.99 figure is its March 2026 launch price, not a verified current retail price.
- Choose the Pixel 10a if you prefer the smaller 6.3-inch phone, Google’s stated seven-year update policy, or its listed camera and software features. Google Store US currently lists it from $599; the $499 figure was its announced launch price.
- Choose the Galaxy A57 5G if you want Samsung’s higher-tier A-series option here, including a 12MP ultrawide camera and Super AMOLED+ screen. Samsung’s $549.99 figure is a launch price, not a verified current checkout price.
Available specifications do not establish a winner for real-world photo quality, speed, battery endurance, or value at today’s checkout prices. Those depend on testing and live offers not established by the listed product information.
What does each phone cost in the US?
The prices are not all from the same date or price category. Google announced the Pixel 10a at $499 on February 18, 2026, but its US Store specification page lists a $599 starting price as of October 4, 2026. Android Central reported on October 2, 2026 that Google had raised the US starting price by $100. Samsung announced launch prices of $449.99 for the A37 and $549.99 for the A57 on March 25, 2026; current Samsung or retailer checkout prices were not established.
| Model | US price evidence | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Google Pixel 10a | $599 starting price on the Google Store US page, accessed October 4, 2026; $499 announced launch price on February 18, 2026. | The $499 amount is historical. Check the live listing for the current price and storage configuration. |
| Samsung Galaxy A37 5G | $449.99 starting price in Samsung’s March 25, 2026 announcement. | Launch price; current retail price not established. |
| Samsung Galaxy A57 5G | $549.99 starting price in Samsung’s March 25, 2026 announcement. | Launch price; current retail price not established. |
Compare the exact storage version, carrier compatibility, seller, and final checkout price. Samsung’s A series spans multiple tiers, so an A37 or A57 comparison should not be treated as a comparison with every Galaxy A model.

How do their size and displays compare?
The Pixel 10a is listed with a 6.3-inch Actua pOLED display at 1080 × 2424 resolution and a 60–120Hz refresh rate. Samsung lists both the A37 and A57 with 6.7-inch FHD+ displays and refresh rates up to 120Hz. The A37 uses Super AMOLED; the A57 uses Super AMOLED+.
The published diagonal makes the Pixel the smaller option on paper. A larger screen may suit readers who prefer more viewing area, while the Pixel may appeal to someone who wants a less large phone. Screen size alone does not establish comfort in the hand, since the cited specifications do not provide a direct size or handling comparison.

What support and software features do you get?
Google says the Pixel 10a receives seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates, counted from its first availability in the US Google Store. Samsung says the A37 and A57 receive up to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades, plus up to six years of security updates. These are differently worded commitments: an Android/One UI generation count is not the same unit as a number of years.

Samsung describes One UI and “Awesome Intelligence” features across the line, with availability and capabilities varying by model. In its US comparison, Samsung identifies Best Face and Auto Trim as A57-only features. Google lists Pixel software and computational photography tools on the 10a specifications page. Feature eligibility and availability can vary by region and service terms.

How do the camera systems differ?
| Model | Rear camera specifications listed |
|---|---|
| Google Pixel 10a | 48MP wide and 13MP ultrawide; Google also lists stabilization and software features. |
| Samsung Galaxy A37 5G | 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro. |
| Samsung Galaxy A57 5G | 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro. |
The A57 has a higher-resolution ultrawide camera on its published specification sheet than the A37. The Pixel has a dual-camera rear system and Google lists computational photography features. Megapixel counts and feature lists do not show which phone takes better real-world pictures; no independent head-to-head image-quality result is established here. Google’s launch article called the Pixel A-series camera the “best camera under $500,” based on a third-party evaluation of Pixel A-series devices from 2022–2026 among US phones with MSRP below $500. That is Google’s attributed claim, not a direct comparison with these Galaxy phones, and its under-$500 price framing predates the reported Pixel 10a increase.
What should you know about charging and durability?
Google says the Pixel 10a supports up to 30W wired charging with Google’s 45W USB-C charger, sold separately. Samsung’s US announcement says the A57 can charge to around 60% in about 30 minutes, with the charger sold separately; check the exact device and local details. Neither statement is a comparative battery-life test, and actual battery life varies.
Google and Samsung list IP68 ratings for these models. Google cautions that water resistance can diminish over time and that the phone is not drop-proof. An IP rating is not a promise that a phone is waterproof or safe from damage if dropped.

Google lists Satellite SOS for the Pixel 10a, but availability is limited by geography and service terms. Google says the first two years are included at no extra charge after activation, subject to setup and restrictions. Check Google’s current regional eligibility and service details before treating it as an available safety feature where you live.

What should buyers outside the US check?
This comparison uses US product pages and announcements. Prices, regional variants, supported network bands, carrier compatibility, warranty, charger inclusion, and AI or Satellite SOS availability can differ elsewhere. Before buying outside the US, use the store page for your country and confirm the exact model code and network support with your carrier.
