To set up a Samsung CU7000, first identify the TV’s complete model code, then follow its on-screen prompts, connect it to Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and use the TV’s Connection Guide for external devices. The CU7000 name covers regional variants, so check the instructions, ports, and software for your exact model rather than assuming every CU7000 is identical.
Find your full model code first
“CU7000” is a family name, not a complete product identifier. The full code—including its regional suffix—helps you find the right manual, remote information, and software. Look for it on the television’s label or in its settings, then search that code on Samsung Support. That support page is specifically for the Canadian UN50CU7000FXZC, so use it only if it matches your set.
Samsung’s support resources include topics such as “Set up your Samsung Smart TV,” “How to connect your Samsung TV to the internet,” and “Pair your Samsung Smart Remote to your Samsung TV.” The available instructions and downloads can differ by model and region.
Position the TV and complete first-use setup
Place the television securely and connect power, using the quick guide supplied for your exact model for stand installation or wall mounting. The included guide is the right reference for those physical setup details; do not assume one mounting specification applies to every size and regional variant.

Turn on the TV and follow the prompts shown on screen. If the remote needs pairing, follow the instructions included with your regional TV or the matching Samsung Support guidance. Do not assume every CU7000 remote uses the same pairing steps.
Connect the TV to your home network
Samsung’s CU7000 manual gives this route for wired setup: Settings > All Settings > Connection > Network > Network Settings > Wired. It says a connected LAN cable may provide network access automatically. For Wi-Fi, open Network Settings and select Wireless. Menu wording can vary with software, so follow the closest current on-screen labels if they differ.
- Ethernet: Connect a LAN cable between the TV and your router. This is a practical choice if the router is nearby and you prefer not to configure a wireless connection.
- Wi-Fi: Choose the wireless option in Network Settings and follow the TV’s prompts to connect to your home network.

Connect an antenna, HDMI devices, and audio equipment
Broadcast TV
If you receive over-the-air broadcasts, connect an antenna to the TV’s coaxial input. The manual says a separate antenna connection is unnecessary when you use a cable or satellite box.
HDMI and other devices
For a game console or video device, use the appropriate HDMI input. The TV’s Connection Guide can show illustrated directions: open the guide, select the device category, then choose the connection method. Samsung lists categories including audio and video devices, smartphones, PCs, input devices, game consoles, and USB storage. Connection options depend on the model and geographic area.
Soundbars and other audio devices
Compare the audio device’s supported connection with the ports and wireless features on your particular TV. The manual lists HDMI (eARC/ARC), optical audio, USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi among possible audio-device connection methods; not every method is necessarily available on every variant.

If a soundbar connected through eARC has no sound, Samsung Support advises: “If your soundbar is connected to eARC and there is no audio, you can check if you are using an eARC-compatible HDMI cable.” This is a troubleshooting check for that situation, not a reason every owner needs a new cable. Port counts and specifications can vary by screen size and region. For example, Samsung’s Levant product listing for the 2023 55-inch UA55CU7000UXTW specifies 3,840 × 2,160 resolution, three HDMI ports, one USB port, Ethernet, optical audio output, and eARC/ARC. Treat those as specifications for that listed variant—not as a universal description of all CU7000 televisions. Check your own model code and its regional product information before planning device connections.
Samsung’s Levant listing for the 55-inch UA55CU7000UXTW is an example of the model-specific product information to verify.

Check software and troubleshoot connection problems
Use Samsung Support to look up firmware by your complete model code. The Canadian page for UN50CU7000FXZC lists an OS upgrade file, version 0090, dated July 21, 2026, and a version 0090 release note dated April 30, 2026. Those entries apply to that Canadian model page; update availability and files can differ for other codes and regions. Do not install a file intended for a different regional SKU.
The TV manual also describes an HDMI Troubleshooting function for checking the connection to an HDMI cable and external devices. It reports an approximate duration of two minutes. If a device does not appear or work, use that check and confirm that the selected input and physical connection match the device.
