Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan was reportedly struck on the chest by a Jasprit Bumrah bouncer in the Asian Games men’s final on 3 October 2026. Inshorts says Farhan threw his bat after the impact and was out for 10 from 11 balls. The linked clip could not be independently accessed, so these details are attributed to the report rather than presented as verified footage.
What the report says happened
Inshorts reported that Bumrah’s bouncer hit Farhan on the chest during the India–Pakistan final. It also says Farhan threw his bat after being struck and was dismissed for 10 runs from 11 balls. The report does not establish whether he was injured, and no medical update is available in the cited coverage.
The match was the Asian Games men’s gold-medal final, scheduled for 3 October 2026 in Nisshin, Japan. The ICC preview provides tournament context; the PCB listing also identified the final in Nisshin, though its scorecard page could not be opened.
Why the Bumrah–Farhan moment drew attention
Farhan had earlier featured in documentary-style coverage after hitting sixes against Bumrah in the 2025 Asia Cup. Times of India and Daily Jagran both describe that backstory, but disagree on the number of sixes: one says three, the other a couple. The exact count is therefore best left open.
