To remove Logitech Gaming Software (LGS), use the Windows program-removal control for your version, select Logitech Gaming Software, and follow the prompts. Logitech’s LGS-specific instructions cover Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8—not Windows 10, Windows 11, or macOS—and say you may need to restart. The documented uninstall does not establish that every configuration file or driver is removed.

If you are removing LGS because you want to try G HUB, Logitech says you do not need to uninstall LGS to use G HUB early access when your LGS version is 8.98 or later. That statement is limited to the specified LGS versions and G HUB early access; check the current compatibility guidance for your situation. Logitech’s G HUB guidance gives the version-specific answer.
Uninstall LGS on a documented Windows version
Logitech’s LGS uninstall instructions give these paths. The Control Panel wording can vary slightly depending on how it is displayed.

Windows XP
- Open Control Panel, then Add or Remove Programs.
- Select Logitech Gaming Software and click Remove.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
Windows Vista and Windows 7
- Open Control Panel and choose Uninstall a Program. In the classic menu, open Programs and Features.
- Select Logitech Gaming Software and click Uninstall.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
Windows 8
- Open Control Panel and choose Uninstall a program. You can reach Control Panel through the desktop Settings/Charms route or from All Apps on the Start screen.
- Select Logitech Gaming Software and click Uninstall.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
Restart if the uninstall requires it
Logitech notes that you may need to restart the computer to finish uninstalling LGS. Save your work and restart if prompted or if the uninstaller does not finish until after a reboot. A restart is part of completing the uninstall when needed; it does not by itself verify that every LGS-related file or driver has been removed.

What about Windows 10, Windows 11, or macOS?
The LGS-specific Logitech article cited above documents only Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. It does not provide an LGS-specific procedure for Windows 10, Windows 11, or macOS, nor does it identify leftover LGS files or drivers for manual deletion. If you are on a newer Windows version, use the normal app-removal option available in that Windows version to remove its listed LGS app, but do not treat that as Logitech-confirmed complete cleanup of LGS leftovers.
Do not apply file paths or registry steps from Logitech’s instructions for Logi Options or Options+ to LGS: those are different applications, and their cleanup directions do not establish where LGS keeps its components. The sources cited here do not establish an authoritative LGS-specific leftover-cleanup procedure for the newer platforms.
