The official store prices checked on October 7, 2026 start at different memory tiers, so they do not establish a like-for-like price gap.

- You want the higher stated battery capacity and maximum wired charging rate: 7540 mAh and 100 W, versus 7050 mAh and 44 W on vivo.
- You want Xiaomi’s listed 27 W wired reverse charging.
- You value the additional IP ratings listed by Xiaomi and its stated Gorilla Glass 7i and aerospace-grade metal frame.
- Xiaomi’s stated software-support policy is important: its FAQ says four Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
Choose vivo T5 5G if these listed features matter more
- You prefer a larger curved display: vivo lists a 6.83-inch panel, compared with Xiaomi’s 6.59-inch display.
- You want the higher front-camera resolution or the manufacturer’s 4K video-recording claim for both front and rear cameras.
- You prefer vivo’s listed OriginOS 6 or its stated IP68/IP69 and military-grade durability claims.
These are feature-based distinctions, not claims that one phone is faster, lasts longer, takes better photos or is more durable in actual use. vivo describes the Dimensity 7500 Turbo as enabling “faster On-Device AI Computing with less cloud dependence and greater data privacy”; that is vivo’s product-page claim, not an independently verified result.
What is the price difference?
As checked on October 7, 2026, Xiaomi India showed the REDMI Turbo 5 from ₹41,999, with 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB configurations listed. vivo India showed the T5 5G from ₹34,999 for 6 GB + 128 GB, alongside 8 GB and 12 GB options. The displayed starting prices differ by ₹7,000, but that is not a like-for-like comparison: the vivo starting configuration has less RAM and storage than Xiaomi’s listed starting option.

Which phone has the bigger battery?
The REDMI Turbo 5 has the larger listed battery: 7540 mAh, compared with 7050 mAh for the vivo T5 5G. Xiaomi also lists 100 W wired charging and 27 W wired reverse charging; vivo lists 44 W wired charging. Those stated capacities and wattages do not establish which phone lasts longer in daily use or how quickly either one charges fully.

Does vivo T5 5G have 4K video recording?
Yes. vivo advertises 4K video recording from both the front and rear cameras on its India T5 5G product page. That specification does not, by itself, establish recording quality or how the two phones’ cameras compare in practice.
How do the cameras compare?
On the rear, both manufacturers list a 50 MP Sony IMX882 OIS main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. vivo lists a 32 MP selfie camera, while Xiaomi lists a 20 MP selfie camera. Resolution and shared sensor labels are not enough to determine photo or video quality; that requires comparable camera testing.

What do the protection ratings and in-box items mean?
Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection, an aerospace-grade metal frame and Gorilla Glass 7i. vivo lists IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance and describes the phone as military-grade durable. These are the manufacturers’ stated ratings and descriptions; they should not be treated as proof that the phones were tested under identical conditions or are waterproof in every situation.
The listed box contents include protective accessories for both phones. Xiaomi specifies a 100 W adapter, USB-C cable, protective case and applied screen protector; vivo’s store lists a charger, cable, phone case and applied protective film. Neither listing establishes that a separate case, charger or screen protector is necessary.

How to make a fair buying decision
- Match the configuration. Compare the same RAM and storage tier, then check the current official store price rather than relying on different-tier starting prices.
- Pick the screen format you prefer. The vivo has the larger curved display; Xiaomi lists a smaller 1.5K panel and specifies its 120 Hz refresh rate.
- Prioritize the listed battery and camera features you need. Xiaomi lists more battery capacity and faster maximum wired charging; vivo lists a higher-resolution selfie camera and advertises 4K video from both cameras.
- Check policies and claims against your needs. Review Xiaomi’s stated update policy and each manufacturer’s protection information, without assuming the labels guarantee identical real-world outcomes.
- Use independent testing for experience-sensitive questions. Look for comparable reviews before deciding on performance, battery life, charge time, camera quality, gaming or durability.
