The India-market Redmi Note 15 5G has the stronger listed display, main-camera hardware and charging speed; the vivo Y19s 5G lists a larger battery and lower store prices. Redmi’s reported launch prices were higher, but the figures are not a like-for-like comparison of current offers or configurations.

The available price figures come from different sources and describe different price bases: Android Central reported Redmi launch prices in 2026, while vivo’s India store listed MRPs accessed on October 4, 2026. Treat them as reference points, not a live price check.

Where the Redmi Note 15 5G has the on-paper advantage
Display
Xiaomi lists a curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, while vivo lists an LCD with 1600 × 720 resolution. That gives Redmi the stronger display specification on paper. Xiaomi’s advertised 3,200-nit peak brightness is a manufacturer figure, not an independent measurement of typical viewing brightness.

Camera hardware
The Redmi’s listed rear setup includes a 108MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. vivo lists 13MP and 0.08MP rear cameras. These specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos: megapixel counts alone do not determine image quality, and comparable independent camera testing is not established here.
Charging wattage
Redmi lists 45W charging, against vivo’s 15W. This is a difference in rated charging power, not proof of a particular charging time; comparable charge-time testing is not available.

The manufacturers list IP66 for Redmi and IP64 for vivo. These ratings describe specified ingress protection, not a guarantee against every kind of dust or water exposure or damage. Check each manufacturer’s terms rather than treating either rating as permission to expose a phone to risk.

How to choose between them
- Choose the Redmi on paper if the AMOLED 120Hz display, OIS-equipped main camera, or higher listed charging wattage matters most—and its exact current price fits your budget.
- Consider the vivo if you prioritize its higher stated battery capacity and lower listed store MRPs, and its display and camera specifications suit your needs.
- Do not choose by processor name alone. The chips are identified as Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and Dimensity 6300, but no comparable benchmark or real-world speed result is established.
- Check software at purchase. The Redmi software details reflect Android Central’s reviewed India model and its update plan at review time; vivo lists Funtouch OS 15. Confirm the installed version and current support policy for the exact SKU.
