The realme C83 5G and realme P4R 5G share a Dimensity 6300 chipset and advertise 144Hz displays, but they target different priorities. The P4R has the larger battery, officially stated 45W charging and IP65 rating; the C83 is lighter in comparison listings and may be cheaper depending on the seller and configuration. There is no reliable single price gap or universal winner: compare the exact RAM and storage variants and current offers before buying.

Where the phones are similar
Same named chipset, with no established performance winner
Both official realme India product pages list the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. That shared specification does not establish which phone performs better in everyday use: the available evidence does not include a standardized independent comparison of the exact retail variants. realme publishes AnTuTu figures of 560,000+ for the C83 and 631,720 for the P4R, both as realme Lab claims. The company says the C83 result may vary and that P4R data may vary with the testing environment or calculation method; neither figure is an independent head-to-head test. realme C83 specifications and test caveat; realme P4R specifications and test caveat.

A 144Hz refresh-rate claim is common to both official product pages. The comparison listings describe LCD panels at 720 × 1570 resolution; they list the C83 at 6.7 inches and the P4R at 6.8 inches. realme’s P4R page also identifies its display as LCD and gives a 1200-nit peak-brightness figure. A shared refresh-rate number does not establish equal brightness, image quality or viewing experience.

Where the P4R has the edge
Greater stated battery capacity and faster charging
realme lists the P4R with an 8,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging, compared with the C83’s 7,000mAh battery. Comparison listings give the C83 15W charging. These are published specifications, not independent endurance results: capacity alone cannot establish how long either phone lasts in a particular person’s use.
Higher protection rating
realme lists IP65 for the P4R and IP64 for the C83. Those ratings indicate different levels of dust and water protection, but neither should be treated as approval for immersion. realme says the C83’s resistance may diminish with daily use. Its shock-resistance or drop-related marketing claims are not a guarantee that a device will survive a fall.
Higher camera resolution and more listed base storage
91mobiles and Smartprix list a 50MP rear camera and 8MP front camera for the P4R, versus 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras for the C83. Those camera details come from comparison listings; the P4R official page reviewed here did not expose a camera specification. The listings also show 128GB as the P4R’s base storage and 64GB for the C83. Check the selected product configuration before ordering, since camera resolution alone does not establish photo quality and configurations may differ.
Where the C83 may suit you better
Lower weight
realme lists the C83 at 212g; comparison listings put the P4R at 224g. If carrying weight matters, the C83 is the lighter option in these published figures.

Potentially lower price, depending on offer and variant
Some comparison snapshots put the C83 below the P4R, but the listed C83 price varies substantially. The official realme store’s displayed C83 configuration and the comparison-site base entries are not necessarily like-for-like. Compare matched RAM and storage, seller, and any bank or exchange conditions rather than treating one listing as a permanent price difference.

Which phone should you buy?
- Choose the C83 if a lower current offer or lighter handset matters most. Confirm that the offer is for the storage variant you want; the official store showed 4GB+64GB at ₹19,999 on 2026-10-04, while comparison sources reported different prices.
- Choose the P4R if you value its larger stated battery, realme’s 45W charging specification, IP65 rating, or the higher camera resolution and base storage reported by comparison listings.
- Do not choose on chipset or refresh rate alone: both phones list the Dimensity 6300 and advertise 144Hz, and those shared claims do not identify a winner.
Before paying, open the live India listing for each phone and verify the RAM/storage configuration, seller, final checkout price, stock, and offer conditions. This is especially important when comparing a 64GB C83 with a 128GB P4R.
