The realme 16 Pro+ 5G has the stronger battery and charging specifications: realme lists a typical 7,000 mAh battery and up to 80 W charging for India. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro pairs a smaller 5,080 mAh battery with 50 W wired charging, and stands out for its 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with reported 3.5× optical zoom, Glyph Matrix, and Nothing OS. Both are listed with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, so the better choice depends more on your priorities than on the processor name. There is no reliable universal price difference: the available price figures come from different markets and contexts.

Which phone has the better performance?
Both are identified as using the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the available sources. That makes the processor name a poor reason to choose between them, but it does not prove equal performance in demanding apps or sustained workloads. No direct comparative performance test is established here.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.78 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 6.78 inches
- 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM

Which camera setup suits you?
realme: high-resolution main camera and stabilized telephoto
realme lists a 200 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50 MP telephoto camera with OIS, and an 8 MP ultra-wide. That is a high-resolution main-camera specification, not proof that photos will be better in every lighting condition or at every zoom level.
Nothing: periscope zoom hardware
Nothing’s rear cameras include a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera; Android Central’s launch report describes 3.5× optical zoom. If that dedicated zoom range is important to you, it is a specific hardware point in the Nothing’s favor. The available specifications do not establish which phone produces better real-world images.
Rank #2
- 6.78 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 6.78 inches
- 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM
- Android 16, Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm), Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm)

The front-camera figures are 50 MP for realme and 32 MP for Nothing, but megapixel counts alone are not a reliable quality ranking.

Which has the better battery and charging specs?
On published capacity and charging figures, realme leads: its India specifications list a typical 7,000 mAh battery and charging up to 80 W. TechRadar lists 5,080 mAh and 50 W wired charging for the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. These are specifications, not comparable battery-life or charging-time test results; runtime and time to recharge depend on usage and test conditions.

- 161.8 x 76.9 x 8.2 mm (6.37 x 3.03 x 0.32 in)
How do the displays and software differ?
Both phones have AMOLED displays with refresh rates up to 144 Hz. realme specifies a 17.27 cm panel at 1280 × 2800, while Nothing’s is listed as 6.83 inches and 1.5K class. These figures establish size and resolution information, not which screen is brighter or more color-accurate.
realme lists realme UI 7.0. Nothing’s phone runs Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16, and its design includes the Glyph Matrix. Launch coverage reported three major Android updates and up to six years of security updates for the Nothing, but check Nothing’s current support policy for your market before relying on that commitment for a long-term purchase.
Rank #4
- 6.78 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 6.78 inches
- 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM
- Android 16, Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm), Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm)

What is the price difference?
A fair price gap cannot be calculated from the available figures. Nothing’s US storefront displayed $419 alongside $499 for its 8 GB/128 GB listing when accessed; that is a live storefront observation, not a stable global price. TechRadar’s March 2026 launch-era report listed the Nothing at $499 / £499 / AU$949 for 8 GB/128 GB and $599 / £549 / AU$949 for 12 GB/256 GB. Those are reported launch prices, not current quotes.
The realme India specifications page confirms configurations but does not provide a comparable current price. To compare costs, check both models in the same country and match RAM and storage; also account for local taxes and current offers. Do not compare the US storefront figure directly with a realme price from another market.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the realme on paper if the larger listed battery and higher maximum charging wattage are your main priorities, or if you want its specified 200 MP main camera and stabilized 50 MP telephoto hardware.
- Choose the Nothing on paper if its Glyph Matrix and Nothing OS appeal to you, or if the reported 3.5× optical zoom on its periscope telephoto best fits how you take photos.
- Compare locally before buying if price, storage, network compatibility, or update support is decisive; those details can vary by region and should be confirmed for the specific version on sale.
Neither specification sheet settles overall camera quality, battery endurance, or sustained performance. Those require comparable testing, so treat the recommendations above as matches to stated features rather than universal winners.
