Set fullPage: true to capture the full extent of the document Puppeteer has loaded—but that setting does not make an infinite-scroll site load its later entries. First scroll the page to trigger loading, wait until the content you need appears, and then take the screenshot.
Why the screenshot stops at the first screen
Puppeteer’s Page.screenshot() captures a page. Its fullPage option controls the capture extent: the current options reference lists the default as false. With that default, the screenshot is limited to the viewport. Setting it to true requests the full page extent, but only for content already present in the document.
Infinite-scroll pages often add entries only after a visitor scrolls. The screenshot option is not documented as triggering that loading behavior or as guaranteeing that an unbounded feed reaches its end. Treat loading the content and capturing it as separate steps. Use a site-specific stopping condition whenever possible. A known final item, a feed-end marker, or a stable item count is more dependable than assuming a fixed delay is enough. There is no universal infinite-scroll loop: sites differ in how they trigger requests and indicate that new entries have arrived.

Runnable example: scroll until the item count stabilizes
This example is a starting point for a feed whose entries match .feed-item. It scrolls by viewport-sized increments and stops after the count has remained unchanged across several checks. Replace the selector and tune the limits for the target site. If the site has a reliable end marker or known final item, use that instead.

})();The loop deliberately has a maximum number of scrolls: a feed may have no natural end, and an unbounded loop can run indefinitely. A stable count is only a practical heuristic; a delayed request or a site that recycles DOM elements can make it misleading. Confirm the loaded content using conditions that fit the page.

Prefer a meaningful wait over a fixed sleep
The one-second delay above is illustrative, not a reliable universal wait. If you know a selector for the next entry or loading indicator, wait for that state after scrolling. If the site exposes an end-of-feed marker, wait for it. If content arrives through network activity, choose a condition that matches the page’s behavior rather than waiting for all network activity to cease; some sites keep connections open continuously.

For a very long page, consider capturing a specific element or dividing the work into sections instead of creating one exceptionally tall image. An infinite feed may have no finite natural endpoint, so define whether you need a loaded subset or a feed that has reached a particular known end.

Troubleshooting
- Only the viewport appears: Check that the screenshot call includes
fullPage: trueif you want the full loaded document. - The screenshot is full-height but entries are missing: The missing entries may not have loaded yet. Scroll to trigger the page’s loading behavior, wait for its response, and verify the entries exist before capturing.
- The scroll loop stops too soon: A stable item count can be a false signal if loading is delayed or the page reuses elements. Prefer a known end marker or a site-specific condition, and adjust the checks and maximum scroll limit.
- The loop never reaches an end: The feed may be genuinely unbounded. Set a clear target, such as a particular item or maximum number of entries, rather than waiting for an end that does not exist.
- A selector screenshot misses content: Confirm the selector identifies the intended region. Scrolling that element into view does not cause the rest of the feed to load.

Does fullPage: true scroll an infinite feed automatically?
The option requests a full-page capture; it is not documented as loading every entry in an infinite feed. Trigger and verify the content loading before capture.

Which Puppeteer method captures a page screenshot?
The Puppeteer guide recommends Page.screenshot(). Use ElementHandle.screenshot() when the target is a particular element.
