ZenMux is an API gateway and model aggregation platform for individual developers, teams, and enterprise AI applications. It provides unified access to models across multiple providers through OpenAI-, Anthropic-, and Google-compatible protocols. The service is available through the web and API, with integrations including Claude Code, Codex, Cline, VS Code Copilot, Dify, and Open WebUI. Its central value is consolidating provider access while giving teams routing and usage controls.
Pricing is divided between builder subscriptions and production-oriented usage billing. The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes Studio Chat on the web and basic models, but no API access. Starter costs $20 per month and adds API access, basic models plus limited-time premium models, and four bonus window resets per month. Max costs $100 per month with API access, basic and premium models, and three bonus window resets per month. Ultra costs $200 per month with API access, all models, and two bonus window resets per month. Pay As You Go uses a prepaid balance with usage-based, per-token billing and is designed for production workloads.
ZenMux stands out through routing and operational controls rather than a single model experience. Automatic provider routing, intelligent model routing, and model fallback can help applications handle route or provider failures. Teams can review tokens, requests, response times, and API-key activity, while cost analytics can be organized by model, API key, provider, and billing dimension. Organization limits cover total, daily, weekly, and monthly credits, and administrators can create and rotate keys. Choose ZenMux when centralized routing and governance matter; choose an alternative if you need API access on a free plan or prefer a fixed model catalog.
