Yandex Serverless Containers review
A Yandex Cloud service for scaling Docker workloads with HTTPS, triggers, and cloud integrations.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Yandex Serverless Containers runs applications packaged as Docker containers while Yandex Cloud manages the container infrastructure, scaling, and runtime administration. It suits teams already working in Yandex Cloud that want to deploy containers without creating or maintaining virtual machines or Kubernetes clusters. Deployments use Docker images in Yandex Container Registry, and containers can be invoked over HTTPS, through event triggers, or via Yandex API Gateway.
Its strongest fit is the Yandex ecosystem. Containers can connect to a user cloud network to reach internal resources, mount Yandex Object Storage buckets in the filesystem, and use ephemeral disks for temporary storage. Triggers cover services including Message Queue, Object Storage, Container Registry, Cloud Logging, IoT Core, and Data Streams. Those options make the service relevant to event-driven workloads and applications that need cloud storage or private networking; teams seeking a provider-neutral container platform may prefer a different fit.
Scaling is automatic, with configurable provisioned instances and per-zone scaling limits. Pricing is usage-based rather than divided into named plans, and a free plan is available. According to the published pricing details, the listed USD rate applies to customers contracting with specified Yandex Cloud international entities; other regions or contracting entities may use different currencies and rates. This model may suit workloads whose resource use varies, but buyers should check the applicable rate for their contracting entity. Choose it for managed Docker hosting integrated with Yandex services; look elsewhere if a fixed subscription structure or an ecosystem beyond Yandex is a priority.
