Our verdict on XTAN

XTAN is a cloud and mobile platform for tanning salons, particularly small and mid-market operators managing reception sales, memberships and customer flow. It brings tanning-session POS, payments, customer profiles, passes, packages, minute balances, bookings and a live queue into one system. Customers can identify themselves, use eligible passes or purchases at a self-service kiosk, and manage bookings, balances, history and notifications through a branded app. Multi-location reporting and remote owner visibility extend the system to operators with more than one salon.

The vendor uses a contact-sales model: prospective customers are directed to book a demo for setup and pricing details. That approach gives salons a route to discuss their operating requirements, but it does not provide published software tiers for straightforward plan comparison. Payment processing connects with compatible Dojo terminals, making Dojo a clear fit for salons already using that ecosystem.
