Xiaomi Mi Mover is a free mobile data-migration app for people replacing an old phone with a new Xiaomi device. It moves selected personal content directly between phones, including contacts, messages, photos, videos, music, apps, files and documents. Android phones and iPhones can serve as source devices for migration to Xiaomi phones, making it relevant for both Android-to-Xiaomi and iPhone-to-Xiaomi moves. The product is focused on phone replacement rather than broader backup management, and it requires Mi Mover on both participating phones.
Its main technical advantage is the local transfer model. Mi Mover connects devices through Wi-Fi Direct and transfers data peer to peer instead of uploading it to a server. That design keeps the migration centered on the two phones and avoids making a computer part of the process.
