Our verdict on Wix

Wix is a website builder for businesses that want to create and manage a site without relying on separate tools. Its editor supports placing and resizing elements freely, while the mobile view provides controls for adjusting the automatically arranged layout. Wix also offers a newer AI site generator, plus dedicated Bookings and Blog apps. It suits service businesses and other small organizations that want their website, bookings, payments, email, and content in one platform.

The published plans include a free option and paid plans, with a paid plan required when connecting a custom domain. According to the vendor, Wix combines site-building with business tools rather than requiring separate services. Pricing can be reasonable for one site, but the cost adds up when managing several sites. A key trade-off is template flexibility: after choosing a template, changing the design later requires rebuilding rather than switching templates directly. Users should also weigh Wix’s convenience against the level of control and output cleanliness they may want.

Pick Wix if ease of use and an all-in-one business setup matter more than granular control. It is a practical fit for service businesses that need pages, bookings, a blog, and related business functions under one roof. Designers and developers who prioritize clean output or more control over the final design should look at Webflow or Framer instead.
