WinISO review
A Windows ISO utility for editing, converting, mounting, burning, and bootable-image creation.

WinISO is a Windows desktop application for working with optical-disc image files. It lets users edit files within disc images, create images from optical media, convert between disc-image formats, extract files, mount images as virtual drives, and burn images or edits to physical media. It is aimed at Windows users managing ISO-based software, backups, installation media, or other optical-disc archives. The current WinISO 7 release supports 64-bit Windows 10 and 11, while WinISO 6 supports Windows XP SP2, Vista, 7, 8, and later.
Its feature set covers both routine image management and disc-authoring tasks. WinISO supports ISO, CUE/BIN, NRG, MDS/MDF, and CCD/IMG/DVD formats, along with ISO 9660, UDF, and HFS+ file systems. Users can mount an edited image before saving, which provides a way to inspect changes within the desktop workflow. Bootable ISO creation and write-image support add practical value for users preparing physical or bootable media rather than only browsing image contents.
The vendor states that WinISO is no longer available for purchase, while existing customers can download the installers. That makes the product more suitable for established customers who need to continue using a Windows-based ISO workflow than for new buyers seeking a currently purchasable tool. Choose WinISO if its supported formats, mounting, editing, and burning capabilities match an existing Windows setup. Users on other platforms or those looking for a newly purchasable product should consider an alternative.
