Wayfinder is Appvia’s cloud-based internal developer platform for platform teams and developers managing cloud and Kubernetes environments. It combines a searchable catalog of versioned resource plans with self-service provisioning from Wayfinder.yaml, application deployment, policy validation, workload identity federation, and Kubernetes cluster management. Its fit is strongest for teams that want developers to request approved infrastructure while platform teams retain control over plans, policies, workspaces, and access.

The free forever plan includes 1 production Kubernetes cluster, 1 seat, AWS, Azure or GCP support, 1M AI credits per month, and access to the AI Cloud Resource Planner and Stack Definition agents. It also includes a paved-road catalogue, policies, RBAC, SSO, and audit capabilities. Starter costs £399 per month or £3,990 per year for small teams of 2–5 engineers. Professional costs £2,499 per month or £24,990 per year for growing companies with 5–50+ engineers and adds a scale-across-teams-and-clouds positioning. Enterprise is designed for unlimited scale with SLA and support, but is sales-led.

Wayfinder’s integration surface is a major part of its appeal. Teams can work through the web, CLI, or API and connect workflows with Terraform, OpenTofu, Helm, and IDE agents including Claude Code, Cursor, and VS Code. Cloud coverage includes AWS, Azure, and GCP, with EKS, AKS, GKE, and Kubernetes support. The platform also provides scoped RBAC, SSO, workspace access controls, and audit trails for user and agent actions. Choose Wayfinder if governed self-service provisioning and AI-assisted planning are central requirements. Teams seeking a lower-cost paid entry point, a self-hosted deployment, or a narrow catalog-only tool should look elsewhere.
