WatuChurch is a cloud-based church management system for small, growing, and large churches, with a focus on African church operations. It brings together member profiles, attendance, recurring events, calendars, income and expense tracking, tithe management, communications, reporting, online giving, HR, payroll, and church portals. Churches can record attendance by headcount or roll call, manage member information, send bulk SMS and WhatsApp messages, and work in English or Kiswahili. Its browser-based model suits organizations that want a central system without installation.

Pricing is organized into three annual plans shown as monthly-equivalent amounts. The Basic Package costs $20 per month when billed annually and includes church management, attendance tracking, events and calendars, bulk SMS, WhatsApp messaging, and email and WhatsApp support. At $48 per month billed annually, the Standard Package adds a member self-service portal, announcements and notifications, a Pastor's Dashboard, HR and staff management, an AI Assistant powered by ChatGPT, and priority email and phone support. The Professional Package costs $100 per month billed annually and adds online giving and a payment gateway, payroll management, an Advanced AI Assistant, multi-branch support, a dedicated account manager, and 24/7 priority support. A two-month free trial is advertised.

The strongest fit is for churches that need recurring event administration alongside member and attendance records. Payment workflows can connect with DPO Pay, Visa, Mastercard, M-Pesa, Airtel Money, bank transfer, and WhatsApp, supporting a range of church transactions and communications. Role-based access control and two-factor authentication provide administrative controls, while reports and CSV export support oversight. The trade-off is that WatuChurch is web-only, and several advanced operational features are reserved for higher tiers. Churches needing native mobile access, or those seeking a permanent free plan, should consider a different option.
