Where it wins
- Offline mobile tickets keep field records available without connectivity.
- AI OCR and verification reduce manual scale-slip and ticket checks.
- Reconciliation, settlements, quotas, and chain-of-custody exports span the workflow.
Where it doesn't
- Advanced integrations and EUDR export are reserved for Enterprise.
- Professional and Enterprise pricing is custom rather than listed monthly.
- Mapping is basic, so GIS-heavy planning may require another system.
Our verdict on Waldo
Waldo is a forestry supply-chain platform for land managers, loggers, truckers, mills, and certification teams. It replaces paper trip tickets with shared digital records from harvest site to mill. Web, iOS, and Android access support office and field work, while offline-first mobile operation keeps ticket capture available beyond reliable connectivity. Harvest jobs, load tracking, production management, reconciliation, settlements, quota analytics, exports, and chain-of-custody workflows are covered in one system. Its focus is operational coordination rather than broad forest planning.
The published plans use a freemium structure. Basic provides unlimited digital tickets and harvest jobs, trip-ticket data entry, and Scale Slip OCR with AI delivery verification. Standard starts at $150 per month and adds reconciliation and export for up to 2,000 annual loads, AI ticket reconciliation, settlements, and PDF, CSV, Caribou, and Forest Products Accounting exports. Professional raises the annual-load limit to 10,000 and adds quota management, with pricing set custom. Enterprise handles more than 10,000 annual loads and adds advanced LIMS, custom, and developer API integrations, 24/7 enterprise support, and EUDR export. Annual plans are priced by load volume.
Waldo’s strongest fit is a harvest business that needs consistent ticket data across disconnected field locations and downstream accounting or mill processes. Trimble LIMS, Caribou, Forest Products Accounting, CSV, PDF, and custom API connections support ecosystem handoffs. OCR and AI verification can reduce repetitive checking, while reconciliation and settlement tools connect delivered loads to financial workflows. Email and phone support are available, with 24/7 support specified for Enterprise. Organizations prioritizing deep forest inventory, advanced GIS mapping, or planning beyond harvest operations may prefer a more specialized platform.
