A focused W-2 correction tool with paper filing and optional EFW2C file generation.

W2Correction Mate is Windows desktop software for accounting firms and businesses that need to correct wage and tax statements. It prepares W-2C and W-3C forms and supports paper filing in both editions, with electronic-file generation available in Enterprise. Its focus is correction processing rather than general payroll operations, making it a fit for teams handling amended forms; organizations seeking a browser-based or broader payroll system should look elsewhere.
The two editions differ chiefly in filing and data handling. Professional Edition costs $99 one time and supports paper filing, virtually unlimited employees and companies, form entry, validation, batch updates, backup and restore, and printing required W-2C/W-3C copies. Enterprise Edition costs $239 one time and adds electronic filing support through EFW2C file generation for employer upload to SSA Business Services Online. It also includes CSV and EFW2 import, password-protected PDF employee forms, spreadsheet export, and the same validation and batch-update functions. These are listed as 2025-only editions on the official order page.
The workflow combines correction data entry with validation and batch updates, plus import options for CSV and EFW2 data. Printing covers federal, state/local, employee and employer copies; Enterprise adds employee PDFs and the EFW2C output file. That file is prepared for the employer to upload to the Social Security Administration—the vendor does not submit it. Choose Professional when paper filing meets the need; Enterprise is the more suitable edition when electronic-file generation and the extra import/export options matter. Its Windows desktop format and correction-specific scope make it less suitable for teams that need a web service or broader filing workflow.
