Viper FTP is a desktop file-transfer client for macOS users who manage websites, remote files, cloud storage, or digital-creation workflows. It supports FTP, FTPS, SFTP, WebDAV, Amazon S3, Google Drive, Dropbox, and YouTube uploads. The application runs on Intel and Apple silicon Macs and includes remote file editing, local and remote search, previews, file and folder comparison, and transfer history logs.

Its strongest fit is background and repeat transfer work. Folder Observer can automatically upload changes to remote servers, while batch uploads support multiple servers and background transfers keep work organized in a tracked queue. Transfer trace logs and history provide a record of activity. These features give Viper FTP a broader file-management role than a client focused only on manually moving files, particularly for Mac users who want uploads to continue in the background.

Pricing offers several ways to license the application. The Monthly Subscription costs $5 per month and permits installation on 3 home Macs. The Annual Subscription costs $15 per year with the same home-Mac allowance. The Annual Business Subscription costs $59 per year for 5 Macs in a company. One-time options include a $29 Single User License, a $99 Small Business License for 5 company Macs, and a $399 Site License for all Macs in a company. A 14-day trial is available. Viper FTP is a strong choice for Mac-based transfer automation and multi-protocol access; teams working across other operating systems should choose a different client.
