Our verdict on Verifit
Verifit is hosted web software for UK organisations that need to run and evidence Right to Work checks, supplier due diligence and document verification. It is positioned for recruitment, staffing, construction, professional services and other small businesses managing records that must remain retrievable for later inspection. Secure capture links let subjects submit documents without creating an account, while structured records support format, legibility, date-consistency and expiry checks.
Its strongest area is evidence control. Verifit tracks document and check expiry dates, sends reminders before they lapse, and routes ambiguous cases into named review queues with written rationales. Decisions are retained in a tamper-evident, append-only audit trail, and evidence packs can be exported in PDF or CSV formats. These features give compliance teams a defined process for collecting, reviewing and retaining documentation rather than relying only on unstructured files or email records.
For operational fit, Verifit provides a JSON API and webhooks for triggering checks and retrieving results, although the API is in early access. The product is available on the web, and its companion mobile capture app is in development. Verifit states that it is early-stage, prices per seat and quotes early customers individually, so teams should assess the commercial model directly with the vendor. It suits UK teams that prioritise traceable evidence and review controls; organisations seeking a mature mobile workflow, broad integrations or self-serve pricing should consider alternatives.
