ValleySoft Disk Analyzer is an open-source Windows disk-usage analyzer for people who want to understand how drives and folders consume space. It is available as a standalone WinUI 3 desktop application, a PowerToys Run plugin, and a Windows Command Palette extension. The product targets Windows 10 and 11 systems and supports x64 and ARM64 installations, making it a focused option for Windows users who already work within Microsoft's desktop tooling.
Its strongest advantage is the combination of analysis depth and Windows integration. Users can scan drives and folders, rank files and directories by size, search recursively for the largest files and folders, and run a Top 100 largest-files scan. Interactive donut and bar charts show folder distribution, while file-extension filtering helps narrow an investigation to particular formats. Empty-folder detection adds another practical cleanup view. Scans can also be launched from the Windows File Explorer context menu, reducing the need to open a separate workflow for common checks.
The product is particularly suitable when PowerToys Run or Command Palette is already part of a Windows workflow. CSV export provides a portable format for disk-analysis results, which is useful when findings need to be reviewed outside the application. Its scope is intentionally centered on files and folders, and its charting is built around donut and bar views rather than a wider visualization set. Choose ValleySoft Disk Analyzer for integrated Windows storage analysis and largest-file discovery; choose a broader alternative if cross-platform support or a more expansive system-inventory approach is a priority.
