Umeng U-App is a mobile application analytics platform for developers and product teams working across iOS and Android. It tracks DAU, MAU, new users, launches, engagement, custom events, retention, funnels, segments, versions, acquisition channels, pages, and behavioral paths. API access, custom dashboards, SQL analysis, and AI-generated analytics briefs extend its reporting options. The product is particularly suited to teams focused on understanding mobile growth, user behavior, retention, and acquisition performance.
Pricing is structured as a freemium model with a permanently free Standard plan. Standard supports 500 applications, 20 dashboards, basic statistics, two-year log retention, and funnel analysis limited to two queries per day. Professional adds real-time data, retention analysis, behavior paths, custom SQL analysis, and up to 50,000 DAU, with funnels limited to 20 queries per day. Premium keeps the 50,000-DAU limit and adds individual user investigation, lifecycle analysis, and up to 2,000 funnel queries per day. Marketing Attribution supports up to 1 million clicks and adds cross-channel attribution, ROAS, eCPI, OneLink distribution and re-engagement, and in-app purchase analysis. The cheapest paid plan is Professional at ¥12,000 per year.
Its main strength is breadth: U-App combines product analytics and acquisition measurement rather than focusing only on crash reporting or basic usage counts. Integrations include OpenAPI, Huawei AppGallery, OPPO Store, Vivo Ads, Baidu Search, and Tencent Ads, while SDK integration is available for iOS and Android. Teams needing a free starting point with retention and funnel reporting should consider Standard. Teams requiring higher query capacity, real-time analysis, individual-level investigation, or marketing attribution should evaluate the paid tiers. Organizations primarily seeking crash and error analysis should look to Umeng’s separate U-APM product instead.
