uMap is TekWurx uControl’s no-code service-mapping capability for IT operations, service owners, architects, and risk teams. It automatically detects relationships across hardware, software, and networks, then builds single- and multi-tier application and service models. Teams can use it to trace dependencies, assess upstream and downstream impact, view live topology, monitor drift, and maintain business-service views across complex hybrid and cloud estates.
The plan structure separates basic discovery from broader service-management capabilities. Community is free forever, supports up to 10k servers and unlimited users, and includes agentless, agent, cloud, and OT discovery, but is on-premises only. SMB costs £10,000 per year and adds cloud or appliance deployment, business service modelling, business-service drift and dashboards, advanced CMDB synchronisation, and standard support. Professional costs £40,000 per year and adds passive network flow and shadow IP detection, the full AI suite, unlimited HAM, SAM and APM, and a customer success manager. Enterprise adds high availability, multiple environments, premium support, and professional services credits.
Its strongest fit is organizations that need dependency models to stay current rather than remain static diagrams. Continuous drift monitoring, owner alerts, validated relationship updates, typed relationships, and interactive live topology support ongoing operational governance. Integrations include BMC Discovery, ServiceNow, BMC Helix CMDB, Lansweeper, EasyVista, Atlassian JSM Assets, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint. Choose uMap when no-code modeling, impact analysis, business-service views, and CMDB publishing are central requirements. Smaller teams needing cloud deployment should account for the £10,000 annual SMB entry point, while organizations seeking high availability or multiple environments should evaluate the Enterprise edition.
