Our verdict on Traction
Traction is an enterprise innovation management platform for innovation, digital transformation, IT, strategy, and R&D teams. It brings together idea submission, intake workflows, structured evaluation, scoring, technology scouting, vendor evaluation, open innovation challenges, pilot management, KPI tracking, dashboards, and custom reports. Its positioning fits large or decentralized organizations that need to connect internal ideas with external technologies and execution workflows. AI assists with research, prioritization, idea coaching, duplicate detection, and decision-ready summaries.
The published plans show two paid options. Standard costs $4,000 per seat per year with annual billing and includes the full platform, all AI, internal idea management campaigns, external challenges, unlimited View-Only seats, and API integrations. Enterprise adds multi-seat access, custom configuration, dedicated support, custom workflow configuration by business unit, advanced API integrations, and volume pricing. A 14-day platform trial is also advertised.
