Our verdict on TotalAR
TotalAR is a web-based platform for creating and managing augmented-reality campaigns tied to images, TAR codes or locations. Teams upload video or 3D models to augment targets, publish campaigns for viewing in the TotalAR mobile app, and track engagement. Its campaign, content and user management tools make it relevant to organizations connecting printed or digital material with AR, including marketing, publishing, education, retail and manufacturing teams. It is a fit for teams that want managed, trackable campaigns; those seeking browser-based AR viewing should look elsewhere.
The free Basic Free plan offers 5 target images or TAR codes, 100 scans per month, one admin, a 10 MB maximum 3D model size and limited media library access. Pro costs $90 per month billed annually and raises the allowance to 100 targets, 1,000 scans per month and three admins; it also adds 5 GeoAR entries and unlimited media library access. Enterprise starts at $250 per month billed annually, with unlimited admins and media library access and 25 GeoAR entries. The vendor lists varying Enterprise prices by plan, so the starting price is the useful point of comparison. The plan progression is centered on campaign capacity, scan volume, administrators and location-based entries.
A key workflow constraint is that published campaigns are viewed and scanned in the TotalAR mobile app, rather than through web AR. That makes it less suitable when audiences need browser-only access. The API offers another route for organizations that want to integrate the AR Bot into an existing mobile app, while YouTube is the listed integration. TotalAR supports web, iOS, Android and API, and its listed support channel is documentation. Choose it for image-, code- or location-tracked campaigns with engagement analytics; consider alternatives if web-based viewing is essential or campaign delivery must avoid a dedicated viewing app.
