Total Uptime Cloud DNS is a managed authoritative DNS service for organizations that need application availability and traffic resilience. It combines cloud-hosted DNS, health monitoring, automated failover pools, geographic and weighted routing, secondary DNS, DNSSEC, and API-based administration. The service fits small teams, mid-market organizations, enterprise operators, multi-site environments, governments, platforms, and managed service providers that need centralized control over DNS responses and endpoint availability.

The published plans scale by domains, monthly queries, records, redirects, and failover and monitoring pools. Starter costs $49 per month with annual billing and includes 10 domains, 1M queries per month, 1,000 records, and 10 pools. Business is $125 per month for 50 domains, 10M queries, 10,000 records, and 25 pools. Performance is $299 per month for 200 domains, 30M queries, 25,000 records, and 50 pools, adding vanity nameservers. Enterprise is $625 per month for 500 domains, 100M queries, 50,000 records, and 100 pools, with full global anycast coverage. There is no free plan, so the service is aimed at teams with a defined budget for managed DNS.

Its strongest fit is operational control. Monitoring can use Ping, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, content-match, and custom application checks, while maintenance windows, alerts, change logs, and manual failover overrides support ongoing administration. Secondary DNS includes AXFR and IXFR zone transfers, and the REST API covers domains, records, failover pools, monitoring, and geo-zones. Web and API access, email, phone, ticket, and documentation support, plus 24/7 support, broaden its operating model. SOC 2, ISO 27001, two-factor authentication, and RBAC add governance features. Choose it for monitored DNS resilience and routing control; consider an alternative if free access or non-annual pricing is essential.
