Our verdict on Tigo Energy Intelligence

Tigo Energy Intelligence is a cloud-based solar commissioning, monitoring and control platform for system owners, installers, O&M providers and asset managers. It tracks production, consumption, batteries and grid flows at module, string, inverter and system levels. Web and mobile access make it relevant to smaller PV fleets that want operational visibility, while EI Professional extends the platform to multi-site portfolio work.

The plan structure starts with EI Basic at $0 per year, included with monitored hardware. It provides system health and power flow, module-level power, energy and reclaimed-energy data at 15-minute intervals, plus monthly reports and basic charts. EI Premium costs $20 per site per year, billed annually, and adds 1-minute module data, unlimited historical data and playback, daily reports, customizable safety and performance alerts, API access and data export. Premium pricing scales above 35 modules, and ordering takes place inside the EI portal. EI Professional is $199 per company account per year; one subscription covers all systems and adds company-wide collaboration, a multi-site portfolio dashboard, commissioning tracking, site comparisons, messaging and support tickets.

The product’s strength is operational PV visibility rather than predictive asset or market analytics. Charts cover production, grid import and export, batteries and consumption; alerts can arrive by email or SMS. Equipment control and commissioning tools extend its role beyond reporting, and integrations include Tigo TS4 equipment, third-party inverters, meters, batteries and API integrations. That makes it a practical fit for monitoring and coordinating PV systems, especially where low-cost per-site access matters. Organizations seeking deeper portfolio-scale renewable analytics or predictive asset analysis should consider a broader analytics platform instead. Tigo Energy Intelligence is available through the web, iOS and Android, with phone, ticket and documentation support.
