Tideways is a cloud application performance monitoring and profiling product built specifically for PHP applications. It is aimed at development and operations teams managing PHP applications across production, staging, and other environments. The product monitors application performance, collects request traces, profiles code execution, tracks errors and exceptions, and provides alerts and historical performance data. Its feature set includes timeline tracing, callgraphs, response-time distributions, tracepoints, multi-environment monitoring, and automatic instrumentation for supported PHP frameworks and libraries.

Tideways uses a paid pricing model and does not offer a free plan. A 14-day trial is available without a credit card. The Team plan includes the profiler, monitoring, error tracking, unlimited projects, services, transactions, and users, plus basic alerting and integrations, a 5-day lookback, and 6 weeks of historical data. Business adds distributed profiling, traces in history, advanced tracepoint triggers, advanced alerting and integrations, and multi-team support. Enterprise adds request limits above 1 billion, unlimited historical data, a Technical Account Manager, priority support handling, Azure Active Directory SSO, and custom terms and documents. The vendor's pricing page uses a request-volume calculator for Team and Business.

Its ecosystem covers E-Mail, Slack, OpsGenie, PagerDuty, Microsoft Teams, webhooks, Checkly, IDE integrations, and StatsD. Tideways supports web, Linux, macOS, a Chrome extension, and an API, with a hybrid deployment model. Installation uses a PHP extension and a local daemon that sends data to Tideways services. This makes it a focused choice for teams that want detailed PHP request performance, code profiling, distributed tracing, and exception monitoring in one product. Teams managing applications outside PHP or seeking broader platform coverage should choose a more general monitoring product instead.
