Our verdict on ThunderTix
ThunderTix is cloud-based ticketing and box-office software for performing arts venues, theaters, music venues, festivals, schools, museums, and similar organizations. It supports reserved and general-admission events, timed entry, online and box-office sales, barcode and QR-code scanning, patron CRM, donations, memberships, merchandise, concessions, reporting, and email communications. Its strongest fit is for organizations managing live events with structured seating, repeat attendance, or venue operations rather than broad conference management.
The paid plans are organized around operating models. K12 Schools includes reserved and general seating, volunteer-friendly setup, and district or multi-school season passes, with the organization using its own Stripe account. General Admission covers general-admission ticketing, timed entry, and multi-venue season passes. Reserved Seating adds interactive seating charts and ADA and companion-seat linking. White Glove includes the Reserved Seating features plus seating-chart and account setup, public event-page creation, a branded subdomain, thermal ticket printing, branded receipts, and mass email. Published pricing uses monthly subscriptions and per-ticket charges, so the right tier depends on seating needs and the desired level of setup assistance.
ThunderTix also extends beyond ticket sales through season passes, flex passes, subscriptions, targeted email marketing, gift cards, merchandise, concessions, and virtual-event connections through Zoom and streaming links.
