Termalin is a desktop SSH client for developers and system administrators managing remote servers. Its tabbed xterm-256color sessions, SSH key generation and agent, SFTP browser with built-in editor, port forwarding, and ProxyJump support cover core remote-access work. A browser cabinet extends access to terminals and files from other devices, while Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and web deployment support suit users who move between desktop, mobile, and browser environments.

The published plans show a useful progression. Free includes SSH and SFTP, a local encrypted vault, session recording and replay, a watch grid, and a database client. Pro costs $8 per user per month when billed annually and adds an end-to-end encrypted cloud vault, device sync, snippet sync, and command automation. Team costs $15 per user per month annually, adding a shared team vault, session sharing, collaboration, roles, permissions, and consolidated billing. Enterprise adds multiple vaults, granular access, agent governance, SLA and priority support, plus a dedicated manager, migration, and onboarding. A $149 one-time beta founders offer provides lifetime Pro access and future Pro features.

Termalin’s standout depth is its managed-session toolkit: users can record and replay work, monitor multiple live sessions in a watch grid, review CPU, memory, disk, and network statistics, and expose selected hosts through an MCP server. Integrations with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and MCP-capable agents make it relevant to teams incorporating AI into server operations. Choose Termalin when centralized SSH workflows, encrypted vaults, replay, and cross-device access matter. Consider another terminal emulator if your priority is a broad local terminal environment rather than remote-server management.

Termalin pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • SSH, SFTP editing, forwarding, and session restore in one workspace
    • Session recording, replay, watch grid, and live server statistics
    • MCP access for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other capable agents
  • Where it doesn't
    • Cloud vault and cross-device sync begin with the Pro plan
    • Shared vaults, roles, and collaboration require the Team plan
    • Focuses on managed SSH workflows rather than broad local terminal emulation
