Tencent Cloud Virtual Desktop (CVD) review
A capable Windows/Linux virtual desktop service for Tencent-centered deployments.

Tencent Cloud Virtual Desktop (CVD) provides dedicated cloud desktop instances for remote work, secure development, education and training, online design, video editing, and rendering. It supports Windows and Linux desktop images, HTML5 browser access, and client access for Windows and Mac. Administrators can create, assign, manage, and return desktops through Tencent Cloud, making CVD a fit for organizations that need centrally managed desktop environments across supported operating systems.
CVD’s strongest differentiator is its combination of access, policy, and workload controls. Encrypted adaptive transmission is designed for remote sessions, while file, clipboard, peripheral, and watermark policies provide administrative control over how desktop environments are used. GPU-backed configurations extend the service beyond standard office work to graphics workloads such as design, video editing, and rendering. Tencent iOA plus Tencent Cloud APIs and SDKs also support deployments that already fit within the Tencent ecosystem.
The published plans include Standard S3_2-core 4GB, with 2 CPU cores, 4 GB memory, and a special office configuration, and Standard S1_4-core 8GB, with 4 CPU cores, 8 GB memory, and a standard office configuration. CVD offers pay-as-you-go and yearly/monthly billing, with compute and storage configured separately. The listed starting price is 119 per dedicated desktop, and there is no free plan. Choose CVD when dedicated desktops, GPU options, policy controls, and Tencent integration are priorities. Organizations seeking a broader ecosystem or simpler bundled budgeting may prefer an alternative.
