Tencent Cloud Intelligent Global Traffic Manager (IGTM) is a cloud service for controlling application traffic across regions, clouds, and data centers. It is aimed at mid-market and enterprise teams managing high-availability, disaster-recovery, multi-active, or cross-cloud deployments. The service uses DNS-based traffic management with address pools that can contain IP addresses or domains. Teams can connect business domains through CNAME records and apply geographic, network-line, or weighted routing policies.

The published plans show two main service levels. Standard includes Ping, TCP, HTTP, and HTTPS health checks, a 60-second minimum check interval, geographic routing, automatic failover, and 24 monitoring nodes. Ultimate keeps those core capabilities but reduces the minimum check interval to 15 seconds and provides 37 monitoring nodes. Additional health-check probe tasks add capacity shared across IGTM instances. Pricing documentation lists CNY pricing, with a starting figure of CNY 28, and separates instance packages from probe-task charges. IGTM is therefore suited to organizations that need configurable health monitoring and different response speeds for their traffic policies.

Its strongest fit is operationally complex traffic management rather than basic DNS hosting. Automatic switching to backup address pools, weighted load balancing, geographic routing, and network-line routing support multi-region and multi-provider architectures. The service is available through web and API interfaces, while deployment is cloud-based. Organizations that need a focused DNS failover layer for distributed applications should find the feature set relevant; teams seeking a broader deployment model or support beyond documentation should consider alternatives. Standard is a practical starting point for minute-level checks, while Ultimate is the better match when faster detection and more monitoring nodes matter.
