Tencent Cloud DNSPod review
A free DNS entry point with advanced routing and Anycast on paid tiers.

Tencent Cloud DNSPod provides authoritative DNS hosting for domains and subdomains, aimed at individuals, businesses, and enterprises that need DNS management with Tencent Cloud connections. A free plan covers A and CNAME records, up to 2 URL forwards, and up to 5 subdomain levels. Web and API access give it both a browser-based management path and an option for programmatic DNS changes.
The paid plans expand capacity in stages. Professional includes more than 12 DNS service clusters, 6 intelligent routing categories, 10 load-balancing records, DNSSEC, and Global Anycast. Enterprise raises those figures to more than 16 clusters, 10 routing categories, and 100 load-balancing records, and adds Secondary DNS. Ultimate offers more than 20 clusters, 13 routing categories, unlimited load balancing, and the same security and secondary-DNS capabilities. According to Tencent Cloud’s China site, paid packages are annual per domain and priced in CNY; the published regular starting price is 188. The tier structure is relevant for buyers comparing routing and redundancy needs, though it means the free plan does not cover the listed advanced capabilities.
DNSPod’s strongest fit is an organization already using Tencent Cloud resources or Tencent Cloud Load Balancer, and wanting intelligent resolution, custom routing lines, weighted load balancing, IPv4 and IPv6 support, or API-based management. Global Anycast and DNSSEC extend its feature set for paid users, while Secondary DNS provides a backup-resolution option on the two highest tiers. Buyers who only need basic DNS can start with Free; those needing more routing capacity or DNS security should assess Professional and above. It may be a less suitable choice for buyers seeking a clear cross-currency price comparison or a specific health-check capability as part of their DNS evaluation.
