Our verdict on TeamRedMiner
TeamRedMiner is a command-line cryptocurrency mining program optimized for AMD GPUs, with support for selected Xilinx FPGAs. It is aimed at solo and small-scale miners who want to connect to mining pools and choose among multiple proof-of-work algorithms. The project lists Windows and Linux support for GPU mining; FPGA mining is documented for Linux only. GPU miners should check compatibility for their specific architecture and device before choosing an algorithm, since support varies. Dual and triple mining options are also documented in release notes.
Algorithm breadth is a central reason to consider TeamRedMiner. GPU options include Ethash, Kawpow, Verthash, Autolykos2, Kaspa, and others; selected FPGA support covers Ethash, Kaspa, Ironfish, and Alephium. The program reports GPU hashrates every 30 seconds and provides a read-only API in JSON and text formats, as well as Claymore-compatible API functions for a subset of calls. Integrations include MMPOS, SimpleMining OS, Hive OS, Minerstat, Awesome Miner, PiMP OS, and RaveOS. These links suit miners who want monitoring through a mining-management platform, but the API is not a route for remote control.
The miner is available free, but developer fees are deducted during mining on supported algorithms; that is different from a paid subscription. Setup requires command-line configuration and pool connection, so miners looking for a graphical setup flow may prefer another option. Its monitoring is useful for status visibility, but read-only access and the lack of remote-management capability limit operational control. TeamRedMiner makes the most sense for AMD GPU miners who value algorithm choice and existing manager integrations, plus Linux users with supported Xilinx devices. Those needing remote management or broad FPGA platform support should look elsewhere.
