Our verdict on TaxDown
TaxDown is an online tax-filing and fiscal-support service for individuals, self-employed workers, investors, landlords and taxpayers with selected international situations in Spain. It imports fiscal data from the Spanish Tax Agency, uses a personalized questionnaire to prepare returns, applies deductions, calculates the result and supports electronic submission after expert review. Access is available through the web, iOS and Android, with an AI tax assistant and support for self-employment, investments, shares, funds, crypto-related situations and rental property income.
The published plans cover both one-off income-tax filing and recurring tax support. Free provides a tax-return calculation and free simulation. PRO costs €35 per year for one income-tax return, expert review, submission to the Spanish Tax Agency and email support. LIVE costs €45 per year and adds chat and WhatsApp access to expert advisers with priority response. FULL costs €65 per year and adds a personal expert adviser, review of the last four returns, and Models 149, 151 and 210. For ongoing obligations, STANDARD costs €29.9 per month and includes quarterly tax filings, VAT filings, an income-tax return, an AI tax assistant and chat support. PREMIUM costs €59.9 per month and adds a personal adviser, priority WhatsApp support, tax-authority requests and activity tax planning.
TaxDown fits taxpayers who want guided preparation with a direct connection to the Spanish Tax Agency rather than a calculation-only tool. Its support for deductions, complex income categories, tax-authority notifications and paid adviser access gives it broader scope than a basic return calculator. GDPR compliance, cloud and mobile deployment, and support through email, chat, community and documentation round out the service. The trade-off is that expert review and submission sit behind paid plans, while final pricing varies by tax situation. Taxpayers seeking only a simple free calculation may need no more than the Free plan; those outside Spanish Tax Agency workflows should choose a service built for their jurisdiction.
