Our verdict on Tarkov Lab
Tarkov Lab is a Windows desktop companion for Escape from Tarkov, aimed at players who want map information and progression tools alongside the game. Its interactive maps cover 12 maps, every floor and basement, with layers for extracts, quest objectives, loot and keys. The app also brings quest filtering, Kappa progress tracking, item browsing, and flea and trader price lookup into the same desktop workflow.
Its standout strength is live in-raid assistance. Tarkov Lab detects player positions from game logs and provides a minimap overlay with live position and raid timer information. The shared squad map adds real-time teammate positions and pings, while quest objectives can be shown directly on maps. The app reads logs and screenshots locally without modifying game files, keeping its feature set centered on map awareness, navigation and progression rather than broader game management.
The published Beta plan is free, with the full app available during beta and no card or payment required. The product is limited to Windows 10 and 11 and has a narrow focus on Escape from Tarkov, so it suits players who want desktop assistance for this game rather than a broader or cross-platform mapping tool. Tarkov Lab is a strong fit for users who value live overlays, squad coordination and integrated quest and price references; players outside that platform or game scope should choose a tool aligned with their operating system and titles.
